Love both too.

In DM and CP however I almost always choose the Thunder.

It 's better in self-defense because of the faster reload and IMO nothing

beats the versatility of the Splash damage.

Probably around 2/3 or 3/4 of my shots fired with Thunder are aimed at the opponent(s) hull(s) itself.

The other 1/3 or 1/4 of the shots are Splash-damaging on obstacles, walls,

the ground, just dead tanks etc.

(Ofcourse, I didn 't count the missed ones ;) )

Rail is great, but does IMO a better job with the "security" of a supporting team around you.

So In TDM and DM 's CTF 's I pick both Rail or Thunder, not a real preference here.

edit: mistakingly wrote DM instead of CTF

Depends, I prefer rail in Mid-Large maps that have good cover. If you pick the right position you can dominate with rail. Thunder has splash damage and lacks a tracer, but it also has to expose itself more often. It is also important to consider your aiming skills and frequency of use. Thunder has a much faster reload so missing a shot doesn't usually have the same effect as missing with rail, where every hit counts.

Why must you criticize ? This is one of my first topics. You are just complaining please stop.

so i'm not allowed to have my own opinion? that's a bit shrewd.

Did I say that? I never said that you could not have a opinion. I just don't like being criticized when i am trying

Truthteller's comment may have been cruel, but i do agree with the fact both weapons have very different uses and are hard to compare, which is what i wanted to put. It would be redundant to rewrite Truthteller's comment. Also, GL if you don't like criticism

I know how to live with criticism. I think your just over reacting that's all.

"Useless topic" might have been a bit too blunt, but remember that it's a comment on what Loackie and Truthteller believe the quality of the topic is and not you. Don't take it as a personal insult; if you think they have a somewhat valid point, take it into account when you make your next topic. Remember, everybody gets criticism once in a while; the key is to use it to make your topics better if you think it's constructive. :)

I personally think that Railgun and Thunder are very different, so it's hard to compare one to another. Railgun's great for fighting against lone enemies at long range, while Thunder is more for fighting multiple enemies at medium range.

Actually both are mid and long-ranged equipment. They both do well in SandBox (Medium) and Seruphov (Long) maps. So, it proves they are quite well in these maps, only the player's style affects the score.

the more range with thunder the less damage

it doesn't matter there both terrible to use

one is just way too hard to use and the other kills you if you get too close which is hard to deal with

and they both have no aim whatsoever

one is just way too hard to use and the other kills you if you get too close which is hard to deal with "hard to use" how? I'd like some insight tbh

and they both have no aim whatsoever ...isn't that a GOOD thing? this is a shooter game, after all.
