Actually, this topic might turn out to give loads of suggestions to new tankers who are in need. Unfortunately, I don't remember. Though I know several of my Gold Box ventures.

Several years ago,shortly after I created this account I got my 1st gold,on 2nd acc,in a Fort Knox(the good old one,now Edinburgh) Dictator  m0,smoky m3,when I was  Master Sergeant,pushed away a guy from my gold,didn't get a pic(bcuz I was new to pc's,didn't know how to take prnt scrn),pushed away a Vik m2,probably,man,I miss these times ;c

It was 2011... I had a hornet with twins i just drugged because it was then 1 crystal cost around 10 right now and it was 1000 so thats around 10K-15K

I never heard or seen a gold box until a month after I was introduced to this game. When I hear the siren and saw the text, I had no idea what was going on and thus, I played the game normally. It wasn't until I was in a Highland match some time later and saw the gold drop but I was too slow to catch it.

 

Last March, in Esplanade, I saw it fall somewhere around the blue base and I got lucky and got it ^_^ I was so happy :33

When I was a private and was playing on Sandbox DM with hunter smoky, and I had no idea what a gold box was :P

My first gold was on a Serpuhov CTF, I had just spawned on the red team and was going along the bigger bridge, and I saw a golden box with 1000 crystals on it!!! I urged my Hunter to go faster (this must have been in the Sergeants area) and I got it! :) I had spawned at a time so that i didn't even see the notification!!! Easiest gold ever :D

I was a Master Seargent back then. I remember camping with M3 Smoky/M2 Wasp in Silence and I saw this yellow thing falling. I went ahead and checked it out and I got like 100 crystals. I was so happy because I managed to buy M3 Wasp. 2 days later, the rebalance happened :(

In 2042 when I spawned saw Gold box will be dropped soon. I didn't know that there were places it could drop. I stood at my respawn point and the gold fell on my tank.

Mine was pure luck as well. Mammot shaft as a WO1 in the map future. Fell up on top of that middle bridge. there were only like 4 tanks in the battle so my slow tank somehow made it up th ramp before anyone else. Fun times....

I was a WO4, was in a Hill battle back in the the old Hill.

I had nub combo of mammy and isida M1, just landed on top of me without breaking a sweat cause back then Titan couldn't push Mammoth :P

Although I began my Tanki career in 2011 as Recruit #(insert twenty digits here), my first Gold Box came a year later or so, after the graphics update. I was in a duel with my best friend on the good ol' map Silence I. Of course, it just so happened that almost immediately after we began our Skype call, an unfamiliar yellow notification appeared at the top of the screen. Being noobs, myself a Staff Sergeant at that time, I can honestly say I had never seen a gold in person before. Sure, I subscribed to St. Railgun and therefore knew what a Gold Box was, but the experience for me was in a whole new dimension. Beads of sweat dripping down my face, I summarized the whole GB idea to my pal, and that one of us was going to get one thousand crystals for free. As his silence made it clear that he was out to steal this rather "golden" opportunity for me, I kept watch in the Red Team's zone for any sign of the Gold Box, but as tension set in, seconds turned into minutes, and minutes into hours. After an agonizing minute of nothing, my friend's M0 Wasp took off towards the larest ramp in the map, and towards an awaiting golden crate oblivios to our anxiety. Panicking as my one and only chance to snag a Gold Box began to slip through my grasp as easily as a knife slicing through butter, I equipped Double Power and one shotted my friend as he was inches away from his prize. His complaints barely registered in my brain as I took my first of over fifty Gold Boxes.

In Silence. A Titan tried to flip me (on the long ramp) but he fell down the pit himself and I was doing a sort of wheelie, and luckily I didn't flip before the gold landed on me

I don't remember my first gold box, but I remember my first gold fail :D

I was somewhere about corporal in Serpuhov and then suddenly "Gold Box will be dropped soon" appeared. As I didn't know what that means, I just kept on fighting. Then I saw that golden box with a 1000 and a crystal on it, which was about to fall in a trench. I wanted to jump down to catch it, but I felt upside down. Right next to the gold! Then I saw a orange hunter driving happily towards the gold box and catching it. Aaargh...

I was in highland with m1 fire and m0 hornet. this hornet m0 and rail m0 came with a double defence boost thing and i thought i would kill him. Suddenly he got destoyed and i was pushing and i got it. Go fire bird

Mammoth and rail gun trying to get to it, I destroyed someone and rail gunner shoots and flips me over a second tank and at the top of the screen it said TankingTankerOFDeath has taken the gold box. total of 19 drops and 1 collected.

Map called rio. I did not even get to know how the gold box looked like but when i saw i got to know. It was on the base where the flag is above the ramp and the gold box fell a bit near the ramp and no1 even got to know it fell there and i got it!

Im in my hornet-hammer, and i see 2 ``gold box will be dropped soon´´, my heart throb, the first gold box, i dont catch it, but i see a gold box icon, 1 firebird and 1 smoky are here! i start shoot, the smoky shoot me 1 time, the firebird make me much damage but i kill he/she...

 

Gold box is falling! is mine! is mine is (catch gold box) yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!
