Stop defending slurs and points of view? Never. But my point was you couldn't just say that highlighted in yellow could you. You had to use jibes while lying about "teaming" on your friend. Be always carefull with "generic advises that sound motivational" - usually they also face limitations, that noone tells you in advance (as they wanna motivate you).

It's good to tell kids and grown up such things.

It's better if kids and grown ups learn to relevate those "guides" and make use of the motivational part those guides contain... while they stay realistic, keep trying, hard, complain less - but also know when a challenge makes no sense.

 

 

If you ever fought a 1vs1 against a drugged professional player in M4 gear that has 50% protection against your turret, while your have only a poor M2.. and he is a real professional that know the map and all suitable tactics there.. then you know that some challenges are acceptable.. and some are "not very usefull".

I mean, you can not even learn much from him, as he does not even need to pull of his best tricks. He just blows you off the battlefield and uses a RepairKit

 

Then you maybe start to think about a guide for guide givers: "a challenge has to be bearable, but with a good chance to fail at the first tries. If you fail it, you should at least learn something from it".

In tanki you learn to stay away from those overpowered guys/girls.. or become one by yourself.

 

But still... I'm fine with druggers as long as they don't use drugs against non-drugging players.

If I come to enter a full drug battle and all those druggers there ask me to "drug or leave", I wish them all the best in _their_ game and leave. Hopefully another drugger joins them so they all have fun there.

call me stupid but when i was WO5 and up I would join generallismo battles just to experience the power of generallismo "one day ill be like that". I remember joining a combe tdm where all members were generallismo..... as soon as i spawned and started making my way to try and beat these generalissimo, (and i know you agree with them) they all stopped and asked me to leave.... noticing that they would not continue till I left, i left. If that little or weak tanker wants a shot at taking me down, why should a deny him the challenge? I myself did such things becauase its a goal. If my goal was to be a a destruction man i would indeed possibly try giving my self hard destruction challenges. The little tanker may ask me to stop drugging if i was drugging, and if it were a 1 vs 1 or 2vs2 i would (chances being that i wouldnt drug from the start. However if its a little guy in a team battle and the enemy has a few tankers who use drugs (if it was one drugger i would focus my energy on him as he is most likely doing the most damage. Though if its a noob drugger i dont know if i would not drug because that would be unfair to drug vs a totally none drugging team or if i would drug just to try and teach him how to drug.

i would drug ( not activate the drugs against him unless he happens do want to distract me and i dont have time to sit there and fight his way

I personally think that buyers already have a huge advantage and don't need to be stretched further and possibly decreased in term of drugs but I can't think of a good way of doing this. The guys that your refer as only coming now and again are probably Clan, Raiding Parties, Players sharing the same IP Address or friends family with other lose or permanent relationships.  They are the real pain, not individuals that buy at any level.  The other thing that you are up against are Ex Pat very experienced players who may have played years and posses alternative accounts.  They often have real money, now exactly what to spend it on and how to use it.  they will be formidable opponents for the new player, who often might find just operating the tank difficult enough never mind what is the best equipment.  The Ex pat player also knows the maps intimately, have great skill and lot of similar friends.  

 

I do not like the friends system, or Clans.  I do not mind Clans playing competitive competition games, that is fine but all Clans should be Branded and Tagged and the game changed so that only say two players from a Clan can play in any one game, preferably one in each side.  Numbers could be modified.  Something similar for same IP address.  At the moment we have players from college dormitories playing and they are all in the same room something similar with 6 former's not to mention Public Schools.  The latter will be very wealthy, ganged up and tooled up.  These team buddies often use all sorts of cunning plans that will trap even seasoned experienced players.  They start games off with poor or moderate players.  Then as the game progresses and you think that your on to a very big score, their team very suddenly changes and your playing a Clan, who will consign your seemingly insurmountable score to the scrap book and they will win with an almost impossibly high score, netting its senior players massive crystal payouts.  They will often assign MULTs or saboteurs to your team as well , players that do nothing or block and generally make a nuisance.  By this time you have your players leaving, making things worse.  They are the sensible ones.  You will try to protect your score but it will be fruitless, your payout comparatively small.  You will feel very done over.  It will happen again and again even though you promise not to let it happen again.  If you even sniff this sort of thing happening, the best thing is for everyone to just leave all together, the Clan will get nothing.  It is often difficult to spot however.

 

So

CLANS Branded and Tagged only 2 per game in normal play

Players same IP address only 2 per game normal play

Attempt to control friends system in the same way but that would perhaps be difficult to do perhaps one invite.  

 

Of course many o these players will have alternative means of contact but it would be a start.  The normal player who buys drugs/supplies, is not in any way a problem..  It is organised groups that is the problem.

The more you reply, the deeper you dig your own hole of shame, and I wonder why any mod hasn't warned you so far.

Really now? If my posts are so boring to read, why read them at all? I don't have anything more to add to this topic. Everything is summed up on page 71, go have a look, sir. I've said what I needed to but y'all keep arguing because that's basically what this topic has become: a place of debate over morals and ethics. You know why "any mod hasn't warned me so far?" Because I didn't break any rules and your friend Zero over there dragged me into a completely unwanted, off-topic argument. And from what I've read, you guys are hurling insults back and forth at one another, thus breaking the rules.
