Lol this has to be one of the dumbest games I ever entered. I came in late; 24/60 minutes left... and my 'Team', was boasting about their 35:11...Red team was about half-empty...eventually, Red got some druggers with some pretty decent equipment (Kits basically), along with a load of drugs...and all hell broke loose. Had that game been another 10 minutes longer; would've been a nice defeat for these guys. I'm not gonna include myself with them because 80% of the time I was in there, insults bouncing back and forth between both teams; even AT ME when I told these clowns to just stay back and defend the flag. One of them actually did throw one of those "Your mum" sentences at me, so I was thinking, "Ok, I'll just sit here and watch you guys get rekt." And as you can see, the end score is 35:22... we didn't move up ONE single flag. LOL. Personally I don't even see this as a win...team was too arrogant and freaking obsolete.

Wow. Just played a Rio CTF with Colonels. It was all fine until a few minutes in, when giant crowd of druggers just swarmed into the battle. A whole bunch of Vulcans with Isida support and the like. Then the stereotypical drugger came in. It was exactly like what the higher leveled guys here have said: they don't turn the turret, the only button other than space and arrows they knew were 12345 and it ended up with me being murdered everytime i spawned. What a waste of time.

It's kinda pathetic when they call themselves "skilled druggers" when they don't even know how to turn their turret... -_- Real sad....

Pretty much the only time I drug is when I'm using Wasp because we all know you will get nowhere with Wasp without some DA, Nitro, and Repair Kit :P But still it's hard to do things with Wasp because everything is moving so fast around you and you need a fast reaction time and espcially me, using Smoky and Wasp, I have to be extremely careful of Smoky recoil on my Wasp.

Btw, as far as I can see, this topic has just turned into a place where people tell their stories of encounters with arrogant druggers... Not saying it's a bad thing, I mean, we'd love to hear your stories and I personally find it amusing how absurd these druggers can be, but maybe tone it down a little and help develop some solutions even further? I follow this topic and I always get notifications of replies to this topic and find another drugger story. No offense, but I would rather read and help develop solutions than read some drugger story. Don't get me wrong, I like them, but excessive amounts make it boring. There's a saying that says "A little goes a long way"

The problem is not buying itself. Buying widely support the game activity and there is nothing wrong in it.
The wrong part is that mainly power is sold, in form of excessive OP drugs.

Tanki could sell cosmetics (as many games do, I have been told) that do not affect balance, they can sell gift (as they started to do) or customisations. Power has to be under control, like it is supposed to be with the ranks system and items availability ... that is also why I am against the kits that make items available 2 to 4 ranks before they are actually available.

You are right, a buyer will always have an advantage, but a MUing or a better paint advantage is fine, it is moderated (+20-30% at worst), it can still be handled and do not excessively affect the balance. Drugs as they are do heavily affect balance, with their +100%! I previously made some examples where a drugged M2 can be compared with an ideal M5+, as the M steps have abt. 20-30% increase. IMO that is too much!

Also the premium is an advantage on one side, as it gives you more crystal to MU equipment, but is a disadvantage on the other side, as it throw you to high ranks straight away with little or no experience and skills. So the premium feels better as he run over ranks, but then he is stuck among much more skilled players!

One of the most balanced ideas is a couple of really special maps, available only to premium users. Thus, buyers would have something non buyers wouldn't have, and at the same time standard battles would be more balanced, IF the company lessened the power of buyers.

But I believe most probable, special maps enter the game WITHOUT power selling being reduced... (such a case would be a perfect proof of greed)...

I may be considered a non politically correct post-writer, harsh on many occasions, but I strongly believe there must be something wrong, morally wrong, that such players CAN be characterized as mild sociopaths* or sociopaths-to-be.. certainly nothing less than bullies. This attitude must not be accepted, as they clearly & sadistically annihilate and embarrass the opponent team. Thus they should be pointed and made known to the players' base. See them in action:

If you are interested for the battle score, all of you can guess what this is.

(needless to say, most of the battle was just spawn-killing at our base... they were coming drugged and doing what they thought was a successful battle)

Is that too much of me? Am I a hater? Or are they the bullies that shame the game?

* sociopath definition

a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.

That's the Serpuhov map, right? As far as I can tell, there are only three double-damage boxes on the map (if there's a fourth someone let me know please XD). So yeah, to see that many people drugged with the same drug is pretty shocking...

What I really can't stand are the people who drug as a response to supply boxes. I know that it might be confusing if I grabbed the box a while ago and I look like I'm drugged, but if I picked up the box right in front of your face, that's no excuse to drug. You're just being a whiny brat because I got there first. If you'd been paying attention, you would've gotten it.

Also, if you're wondering, this is KrystenHunt16's alternate account. The one with the 10+ hours of Firebird. ;)

Question for all you higher-ups: if your team is getting drug killed or spawn killed, or you're the only one on your team even trying to do anything, do you stay in the battle even though you know you're gonna lose, or do you just leave? If you stay, please let me know why. I'd really just like to know, because most of the time I just quit.

If the names are Russian I would just quit. Or try to join their side.

Vladspiros ... master drugger ... more than 150 supplies per hour. Must be a rich boy, and an idiotic one...

http://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/vladspiros/

His account is probably less than one year old and loves to play dirty, its best to just avoid players like him, they only play for the thrill of humiliating others, they never play fairly and he obviously has a lot of time on his hands

I'm a lower up and I usually just leave.

I just leave because staying only makes the druggers feel powerful, which is something you don't want them to feel. If you leave, they won't have anyone to dominate and therefore will not make them feel powerful (and it would waste their drugs :D)

I try to explain the situation to my team and ask the whole team to leave, so druggers are left with no more score to make ... if I can!

Mentally I like to leave, as it feels like a waste of time.

But in fact, often it makes sense to stay to earn at least your small crystal share

So:

  • lower ranks -> leave

(as I can use the time more efficient in an other battle - talking about earnin crystals and experience)

  • higher ranks (gen) -> go on pause (whole team)

It makes sense to stay for your crystal share.

=> So I go on Pause and tell your team to do so as well.

Press "P" and enojy a drink in the kitchen.. while the enemy can't find someone to kill -> You simply do not respawn after you got killed in pause mode B)

Very, very soon the enemy looses interrest and finishes the battle (*1). Even those "dont cap the last flag but spawn kill them until they leave so get their crystals too"-guys lose interrest pretty soon, if noone is left to kill.

If it lasts more then 5min, let yourself spawn, drive and shot a little, and go on pause again. Leave them a smile in the chat if you like to ;).

It is important to tell your team the reason, so they go along your line "stay in battle and go on pause -> it becomes boring to them -> they end the battle soon". If some leave, more motivated players might join and the enemy has some kill_sheeps again

(*1) - higher rank battles often have no time limit, but end with #flags or #CPs

I agree with most guys, the best solution is either to leave, or to get your team to be in Pause until this person leaves.

Letting him know that his behavior is bad and the cause for this pause, is even better, as only social disapproval will make them think differently.

Is it bad that the main way I make my crystals is by going into high-rank 60-minute battles that are about to end, garnering 100 points or so, and coming out of it with 500+ crystals? I feel conflicted about this -- if I'm going to play with the high ranks I want to get a good reward, but at the same time it feels kinda cheap.
