Reduce power of garage supplies

It seems that every single day is     Noob Drugger's Day !    LOL  :D

(notice the always straight turret... some people out there know how to charge a credit card but not how to turn a turret :P )

To be fair I was such a n00b until the mouse controls came out. Though I have been playing video games since the 1980s the lack of aim/shoot with a mouse and movement with keyboard was a significant disadvantage for me with Tanki (it also doesn't help that I am left handed). The problem I had with keyboard turret controls was hitting ALT or the "Windows" key which would cause problems such as quitting Firefox, etc. With mouse controls my ability to move and do stunts and unpredictable moves has much improved. This is also a major reason why I had to use Isida for so long  because it never really required moving the turret to work well.

The windows button is such a pain in the _ss.... I wonder which genious put it right between two three common buttons for games LOL

(you might want to remove it and cover the hole with paper / sponge / plastic etc...)

The drugging's like that in higher levels? Teams? .....at my level,1 or 2 people do drugging in a match.Maybe others use only speed and protection to get the flag and run.Thats quite tough to deal with in a CTF and with repair kits, its a capture.

Seriously,I might be quitting this game before I get to Generalissimo. What are we doing here, calculating Tanki's revenue? Lol.

1 great idea is to show amounts of drugs used by the player in the battle end scorecard.I think I have read it here at this page, and I wanted to bring it up again. It will stop the people with shame from using drugs. No offense to all the hardcore druggers here.

Drugging gets worse as you climb the rank ladder.

After marshall it's a b_tch

However I am more humble at my aforisms when the battle is >90% generalissimos, for top rank it's almost inevitable to use drugs constantly. But one can judge from details such as WHEN does one starts the use of drugs (you can see people that spawn and right away the get loaded or people that have to do with a remnant of 1-2 opponents and even when they spawn-kill, they are heavy loaded with drugs...).

It gets boring or frustrating. Both are bad for the future of this game.

In case this is of any use...

As I use a desktop pc, I bought a gaming keyboard (steelseries) that came with a utility to remap keys plus ability to switch between two keyboard layouts - I have a normal keyboard and a Tanki keyboard!

In the end, after experimenting with different tank control keys, I only changed the position of the fire button - but I disabled all the keys (including Windows button) around the keys I use, to solve the problem of accidentally hitting them!

Since I read this I feel sorry. It is not really my intention to discriminate upon skill, this is a game and it should provide with fun everybody, disregarding their level of skill or driving ability, or targetng ability.

I wrote that only because I felt frustrated from another battle full of drugs and this frustration made me search for a "tender spot" to exploit.

I am sorry friend and I apologise. I won't use again such schemes of expression.

I guess one advantage of that is that if someone's taunting or has a bad attitude it will be in a language we don't understand. :P

They could offer several tiers of Pro Passes similar to how they offer 3 versions of the score multiplier.

Language is the least element of attitude, since I rarely notice chatting when in battle. Behaviour is talking even better and more true than language...

For example,

I played a Monte Carlo CTF battle today. I entered a team that was loosing 1-2. Using my smoky I created chaos in the enemy lines and gave my team mates many opportunities to capture flags.

I didn't really killed many opponents since smoky can hit 3 times and do less damage than one shot of a rail or a shaft, but my role in winning was beyond doubt.

However, not even once did any of my team mates gave me a flag to capture..

A few minutes before the end I stoped bothering opponents and went for the flag myself. Two times I got the flag and run back to our base only to be pushed by accident by my team mates and fall into the abyss..

One third time I got the flag and returned very carefully, but in front of our flag a team mate stood and didn't let me pass. In order not to be pushed I let go of the flag and watched him take it and capture it.

End of battle 2-6 (we won)

That guy, S_T_I_M_O_R_O_L,  joined the list of a_holes I keep.

Next round I moved to opponent team and yes, we won 5-1.. Unfortunately, this j_rk left almost from the beggining because he knew what was waiting for him.

I feel sorry only for one guy from the initial team, an isida guy that was really helpfull and worthed better than such team mates.

It was actually one of the best updates since I started (at least for me).

Another sad day in Tanki

Today I tried to enter 4 or 5 battles ... people pressing numbers insanely ... players devastating everything, and when weak, just pressing 1. Starseries skills involved on that!!!!!

Every other battle I see is like 26-1, 15-2, 34-0 ... devs, doesn't it sound like UNBALANCE (retorical question)???

Anyway, I didn't even buy a PRO pass, as now it is quite useless (too little PRO battles around, not even talking about the "pro" type). I will not waste 5.000 crystals on that.

My solution: I just stop playing ... with this game unbalance it is IMPOSSIBLE for a non hardcore buyer. Probably soon many other "human" players will think my way, and we will finish reading about Tanki in history books. I wouldn't want it to happen!

Actually I think that this is happening already. It is a long time that stats do not get over 80.000 players, where some time ago we averaged 120.000-130.000 reaching 150.000. Some dev said it is physiological ... Boh, we will see!

Let's see ... I could try to buy a pro pass next sale (if any) ... meanwhile I will stay here looking at weird battle results as the ones I described before.

Because, you know something? On those battles I don't like to enter in any side! I would be useless on both!

Another sad day in Tanki

Even with %90 discount on Pro-passes, sorry but I couldn't get 500 cry from pro battles!

Unfortunately you are right!

Devs talk a lot about balance, but they do nothing with the excessive unbalance caaused by drugs. They increase/decrease tanks and turrets parameters, like it could be of some influence when you press the magic numbers! They do a work that, if we don't consider drugs, is excellent! But when you press the magic numbers ... all tailoring on parameters is just useless! Why increasing a 3% here and decrease a 2.5% there, if when you press the magic numbers you increase 100% ?? Why???

Again I promote another new drug ... number 6 ... costs 3.000 crystals ... you press it and you blow every tank on the field and WIN !!!! Work done!

Now PRO battles are ghosts ... you can hardly believe they exist!! :)

I don't understand why anyone would be stupid enough to join such a battle on the losing team.

I think some people think it's heroic to get beaten into a pulp.

I think if Tanki wishes to bring back some shred of balance to the game, their best hope would be to introduce cheaper series of PRO passes, like they did with experience pass. A one-day pass for 75 crystals, a one-week pass for 250 crystals, and a one-month pass for 1000 crystals. Not final figures, but overall it's best to increase availability to PRO passes for the every-tankman, rather than seal it all away for an abysmally high 5000 crystal cost. You notice that during the 90% discount, there was also a 90% increase in PRO battles, and a 90% increase in happy players? That's no coincidence.

I don't understand why anyone would be stupid enough to join such a battle on the losing team.

For two reasons my friend.

First, because 9 out of 10 the existing free places are on the losing team.

Second, as unbalanced these days battles are, only enforcing the losing team can "save" the battle. Joining the winners will only bring the end really soon. (that's for the rest one out of ten) :)

I think some people think it's heroic to get beaten into a pulp.

Hey, some of us can sometimes turn the battle.... ;)  besides, there's no better practise than practise against superior opponent. Whatever I learned I learned by pushing myself to the limit.

Pro pass should really become more available for the people. Not only in the way you propose - which is good - but by addressing an escalated cost from recruit to generalissimo, proportional to the way daily bonus is escalated. :)

I am not in the habit of assuming that both teams are morons, and whichever team I join wins. :P

Also, I am talking about the common 9 battles out of 10. :P

I confirm I can hardly find any Pro battles now.

I have setup Pro battles on EN3 for 12 tanks per side on Kungur and only got 1 to 1 fights!  Spent most of the time chatting to the other player!

Sadly my favorite tank at Lieutenant Colonel I can hardly use anymore due to the high drug use in battles which causes so many massively one sided battles.  I.e. being on the winning side is no challenge and being on the losing side is no fun either.   I only seem to get balanced matches at about 1.00 am in the morning (or in certain Russian battles where I'm convinced the losing side tries harder.)  I note the DE server is hardly being used any more - I've had some good battles on there.

So I spend most of my time using my sergeant major / warrant officer level accounts where drug use is not so hard to deal with and I ALWAYS join the losing side on big battles (i.e. great fun turning these battles around without using any garage drugs).

For the record: I use Wasp Ricochet as my most fun combination but I do note some tankers 'commenting' on my not moving my turret in order to shoot = classic noob behaviour.

4 Reasons:

1.  The Wasp turns faster than the Rico turret, but I do turn both at once when necessary.

2.  An M2 Rico on a M1 Wasp is very unstable when the turret is turned - every time you shoot the hull gets turned and it takes time to aim again.  Keeping the turret in line means twice the plasma balls on target = life or death!

3.  When nitro is ON - the turret turns faster - this increase in speed spoils the timing of some shots.  Turning the hull is more consistent at the high speeds we have with a Wasp.

4.  A Wasp is easy to turn over in the blink of an eye, as movement is your key defence - then best to be able see where you're going.

I do, however, spend many hours practising moving my turret while driving and using this skill to defeat any tank combo I choose (more times than not) depending on the circumstances.  (However, I mostly have to suicide on the front of Thunders, but I get back in battle before them with full health due to speed!) Hence my consistent top 3 scoring and why I have 100,000 crystals in my account (until I get my M2 Wasp next rank up!)  I.e. I drive around big tanks while shooting to get more time to kill them and rails have a hard time turning fast enough.

I.e. judge a tank by its score and not by what it does.  However, if a tank drugs too much, this is why we need to see on the scoreboard how many garage drugs they used during a match = shame on the abusers (unless they were on the losing side.)

I nearly always join the losing side, or if there is not much score (only play CP) I choose the side with the lowest ranks.  Why?  Because I prefer to support the underdog and don't feel comfortable joining teams that are already winning - certainly not because I want to be the hero!

Again, it's back to trying to balance the situation for good sportsmanship reasons and to have a chance to see a game through from start to finish with a reasonable amount of players on both sides.

By joining the winning team it just lumps you in with the druggers, and, eventually the other team leaves anyways so there's no points to score or crystals to be earned. It's no fun driving around on a map with no opponents.

That was a major misconception of what I said and what it's like to joining a losin team. Feeling like a somehow skilled player does not mean that all others are morons.. and sometimes one more skilled player in a losing team can turn the battle (the turn, ofcourse being the outcome of collective work, not just one player).

Make no mistake, there are only two cases of one player defining the outcome of a battle no matter what side he joins:

1. a very experienced player while all the others are seriously inexperienced in regard to him, and

2. a serial drugger (best combo / paints + tons of drugs) when nobody else is like him.

:)
