Do we really need the Olympic Games?

You didn't get me right, I meant if they refuse our job offer, we won't give them homes, so they'll have to work. That's my point - everybody has to work if he/she is able to, not matter what. Some rich people's children are just lazy and don't work, thinking their fathers will give them what they want - that's what annoys me most.

That is why I don't like nepotism. However, people like them won't stay rich forever.

Is it crime to be rich?

If you keep taking from the rich no one will be rich, poor people always cry crocodile tears.

This is why we need the Olympic games, its your money! Spend it how you want

But, my system is a bit different. Money make people crazy, and people are free to spend their money on whatever they want. That, I think, is a huge problem, because some people can't spend their money organized, and it ends up having no money until they get their next monthly salary. But, in my system, people don't see money, they just get what they want, but limited. For example, you are not allowed to too much bread, if you don't need more. Another side is that, you don't have to save money for some things, for example, traveling. In my system, if you are on vacation, and want to travel somewhere, you are free to travel, without paying a single cent. But, you are not allowed to use this ability badly, and travel the whole world in a week, just because it's free, for example. I think, it's better if people not to see money and what they buy is limited by the government.

But this means you are transfering the problem. Before people couldn't get their money spent organized, now they can't spend their bread organized, which means they eat their monthly amount of bread in a week, causing them to be hungry and unhappy. There is no way (invented yet) to solve this problem. It's human tendency to do such things, and changing the mindset of the complete earth is impossible. People will get more power if they want, and people will take as much money/bread as they can. The world is not perfect, and I think we have got to deal with it.

Well, this problem is easy solvable: daily bread. You have a good point, people might eat all of their monthly bread in a day, and stay hungry until the next month, but the solution is again limitation. We can limit the amount of bread people buy in a day.

I know, people are not perfect, but they will get used to it. Imagine the world as a child. If you give him everything he wants, he'll be spoiled in future. But, if you don't always buy what he wants, and give him a good education, he'll be well-mannered in future.

You forgot miserable, jealous and he probably will seek to do bad things.

You're more likely to do things you've been told not to do, and want things more when you can't have leading to bad habits.

You always have to substitute for something else otherwise you're punishing your own children

Where do you think the homeless people stay in cold winter days?

There are shelters for homeless people that the governor or the UNCRC gave them so no worries :)

all the government has to do is :

give them home

give them money for basic requirements

and give them education for a better education

:)

where's the money coming from?

What about the houses? Whose going to fund that?

Each cheaper to have the olympics once than fund this which is impossible.

I guess that would be a solution. But practically it is impossible to do this. As I said before it means the world has to be changed completely. That's impossible, especially since you want to limit the powerful people, and powerful people will use their power not to be limited. Wars resulting.

That's what's happening at this moment right? Because then this prooves to be a failure.

40k houses can be built with the half of the money spent for the Olympics

Well, it worth a try, doesn't it? You are right, some people might not want to be limited, that's why we need a good dictator. People are not ready for democracy.

Honestly that idea is not logical, you don't understand what your on about, firstly one doesn't simply build a house, secondly it's beneficial for everyone to have the olympics than what you suggest, the olympics are a historic one off event for a country, it creates jobs, increases tourism and so on thus helping everyone, YOUR idea on the other hand creates a problem as firstly it's costly secondly people won't want their money spend on that for example in the United Kingdom people want things like benefits and housing benefit removed because hard working people are paying the price because lazy people will get everything a house, money etc, and the tax payer will fund it thus Making people poorer leading to the governments providing everything for people as it has here in the UK.

Fact is your idea won't work, they simply wouldn't be enough money without taking it out of somewhere else.

And remember your idea would last decades olympics however happen once and you might never have them in your country again.

Read the comments above, I'm tired of repeating the same things.

we cant prevent it from happening but we could minimize it

one of the trade-offs when is comes to economic growth is that the gap between the rich & the poor increase & people are left unemployed with no place to live & u cant blame the government for this

I don't blame the government on that, I just blame them for caring more about the rich than the poor.

Who would you suggest for this 1 good dictator? There is not one single person on this world who would be a great dictator. The power would make him have $_$ and he'd buy himself big houses and stuff.

Anyway, the solution might be good, but believe me.. if I am discussing this so much with you, the rest of the world would as well. You won't change their mindset. Ever. Olympics won't be stopped either. Simply because too many people like it for it to be to stopped.

You are right, money make people crazy, however, the is one person who I think could be a good dictator - Jose Mujica. He's the president of Uruguay, and the poorest president of the world. He spends 90% of his salary (his salary is $ 12.000) to the charity. He - for my opinion - is one of the best people ever lived. Unlike other presidents, he doesn't drive luxury cars, live in huge houses, and etc. He drives an old VW and lives in a small house. I'm sure he'd be a great dictator.

As I said before, we need a dictator. Also, I'm not saying we should stop the Olympic games, in fact, I'm a big fan of them. I'm just against the ridiculous amount of money being spent for it every time.
