Whats the stupidest thing you have done for Tanki ?

______________________________________________________________________________________

Here's Mine :

I had gone for a vacation with my family to Singapore (New Year 2013), my rank was about major that time.

There was a 50% off for all Hulls and I needed to buy Hornet M2. I was short of about 2-3k crystals. Everyday in the hotel I came to the lobby and use to play Tanki just to earn those. Just for 15-20 minutes. Once a boy came and said hey ! I started to talk to him when he said that he has also played this game, he also played for 20 minutes from my account. Then I was leaving to my country back from Singapore, that day the sale was ending and I still needed 70 crystals. Stuck at the airport 4 hours for the sale to finish I was going mad. That's when I saw a computer. I used it (Windows XP) and earned those 70 crystals (at the airport) and bought hornet M2.

So whats your story ?

Wow! #DesperateTimes :p

Here is mine:

I bought my first m1's in 2013 Runets prize sale (firebird, smoky and mammoth). For three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) we received lots of crystals and then there was a 50% sale on all turrets on Sunday. I woke up at 4:30 in morning as I needed 150 crystals more for all of the above stated equipment. I joined (moon?) silence and took my m0 mammoth. I stood at crystal drop point. It was a 90 minute battle. So I taped down the 'z' key and went back to sleep :p. When I came back after 30-40 minutes, I had earned 300 crystals. I know it sounds unreal, but that's what happened. I know it's sabotage but I wasn't aware of any such thing at that time. Anyways, my team won and I won 300 crystals more from battle fund.

So picture this, we are experiencing a Double Funds weekend (I don't remember the date exactly) and I'm playing a 5 or 6 hour long (about) Dusseldorf DM with about +20 other people. Around 4 hours in, I've managed to obtain second or third place with a battle fund of +75K crystal. As you could imagine, I felt like a 'BOSS', and within an hour or two tops, I would claim my magnificent reward of roughly 12K crystal.

Given that I hadn't left my seat in a few hours, I felt the urge to use the restroom. I put the game on Pause and proceeded on my mission. THEN, the unthinkable happens. I return to my seat and find my keyboard all of a sudden malfunctioning and my tank failing to move despite my pressing of the up and down arrows. Following basic procedure, I unplug and plug back in the cord connecting my keyboard to my CPU/System Unit. That fails to work, and what makes the situation even better is that I now have about 1 minute and 20 seconds on the Pause Screen until the battle kicks me for inactivity. I frantically run through my house and scour through every box I have searching for a replacement keyboard (I knew I had one some-where). Finally I find one yelling "eureka", and run back to my computer when I trip on a loose cord and fall flat on my face -_-. With the timer dwindling down to about 4 seconds, I rush to plug in the keyboard and smash the first button I see to dearly move my tank.

And luckily, my tank moves. With my heart still racing and a sigh of relief, I fall onto my chair thinking "Mission Accomplished". B) Remember though, this entire conundrum takes place over the course of about a minute... with myself hollering some very colorful language. ;)

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I would consider this the "stupidest thing" I have ever done, but I would definitely label it as my 'funniest'.

did many stupid things, don't think they were big...

I remember I bought m1 isida full price 1 week before sale (start of july or so) (3 weeks before buying it, there was 25-30% sale, in which I needed like 1k to buy it, but I didn't get enough, so I bought wasp m1.) After these 2 mistakes (or just one) I never bought anything lower sale than 50% (except for m2 hornet 25% sometime autumn 2013). Now crystals doesn't matter for main account, as I can get them anytime...

Not so stupid tho :)
