New Contest

Tanki you havent held any beneficial contests in ages. You held the Photoshop contest but guess what. Its only beneficial to those who are funny, and actually took the time to find something in your video blogs that are funny. TO be honest your video blogs don't have funny content except the funny bugs, and the test box.

 

However you hold an annual contest for Video Guides. This isn't exactly a good contest because you need to have a good screen recorder since you guys want "High Quality". These guides are only supposed to be 5 minutes long and i understand why, there will be over 1,000 submissions and you guys cant watch all of the guides. Here is my proposal. Instead of Video guides, you should have text guides. What i mean is that people should submit their entries in text and their should only be a limit of 1000 characters. 

Benefits:

- Everyone will be able to try to win

- You will gain the same knowledge but it will be the same for everybody since no one needs a screen recorder.

 

Negatives:

- Mods of any sort should not be able to submit, one cause they already get crystals from sitting in chairs waiting for people to flood and what not, and two they are always the ones who have more skills, or know what to do. *Especially reporters!

 

Prizes:

1st: Warrant Officer 1- Third lieutenant (M1)+Second lieutenant- Colonel (M2)+Brigadier- Generalissimo (M3)=  Dream tank but without paints

2nd: 60,000 crystals

3rd: 30,000 crystals

 

Any entries worthy of credit: 15,000 crystals.

No. I just want to hear whats coming and to be honest i dont even like the video blogs anymore, especially the question of the week. I spent 20 minutes twice reading all the comments for two questions, and i put in an answer that wasnt used yet and i got them right. I got it right for the one with the How many shots will it take for the Thunder to SD. however someone else got the answer cause they got more likes, its not fair and i dont even bother anymore. I just watch it for news on updates. And when i posted my answers it was only 1 hour after the vlogs were posted. Plus i was on vacation so i had time for their annoying schedule.

Well, first of all a moderator's work isn't all about "sitting around waiting for flood". It's more complicated than that, so please don't think that we don't need/want to participate in contests because we get easy crystals (which aren't as easy as you think).

 

Second, why do you think that having more writing skills means that you can't participate? Skill is something that you acquire fairly, so there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to use it. It's like for any other contest: YouTubers aren't allowed to participate in video guide contests; parkour club members aren't allowed to participate in parkour contests; professional artists aren't allowed to participate in art contests... See? It's completely unfair like that.

I see your point, but Mods get paints and crystals. Im mainly asking to restrict reporters from being in such a contest. Especially for the fact that some reporters participate in contests held by the press, and most of the time they win. Reporters such as Goldrock. Also youtubers have special software that other players dont have. For example video editing software such as sonyvegas. Other players oly have windows movie maker and trust me it sucks. Just cause your a professional doesnt mean that you have to be in something you have skills at. The main reason i am requesting this contest is because video guides arent exactly fair, since they are mostly won by Valleta and Raphael2 .

My two cents on the matter:

 

I think that this type of contest is already held in the newspaper, so why not keep it that way? Besides, I think a dream tank is too big of a prize.

 

MAFIOZA also has a good point: Why keep people out of it just because they have skills? That's unfair, and the winning entry wouldn't be as good as it could have been.
