I'm not stupid. I know it ISN'T a joke so you can keep lying if you want but you've been exposed.

And the fact you still watch little kid cartoons is hilarious, so you shouldn't be lying you're an adult when you post images of little kid cartoons.

Regardless, great update! Now instead of having bad topics by low rankers, we can have...bad topics from mid-rankers....

Semyon forget to mention there is also fourth group for players i.e Ban, who are not allowed to use forum at all.

this is only meant for general players, otherwise they could also mention about forum administrators, moderators etc. groups which also exist

Tho I do think the General group is very narrow and the Advanced group is quite large.

I think they'r usefull: someone that likes the game gets into General Group fast..

and the rank limit for advanced is a good rank to start of with a clan by your own.

There only is one thing wrong with this: Alt accounts. Some people make alt accounts so they can still chat on the forum without revealing their main. I'm not one of those people, but I know this is problem. Maybe there should be some way that the forum can check if an account is an alt or not?

yeah.. I need to play my alt 5..10h until I may use it in the Forum again.

I use it for attendance-votings inside the clan (members can state their attendence to events by upvote/downvote the alt-post, instead of spoiling my own reputation with down posts).

But ok... 5..10h of beginner bashing :p

FAIL OK i read all and here is the reasons together ok
[...]
2_ what if we are banned and we want to go on our alt account to other sections like General or Press!
[...]

So you are complaining, that players that behaved bad and get punished, have no way to circumvent their deserved punishment any more?

;) :P

You should grant accounts that had already been created before the change and have multiple posts and views in the advanced group. My alt was really popular and it does not seem fair for me to rank up to warrant officer 1 with it before posting again.

I don't think that restricting low-rankers would actually help them as newcomers.

Of course that is simply my opinion, but my Tanki career only arrived at the Forum after a year and a half (this is coming from a person who chats a lot), so I didn't even know about the Forum before becoming a decent rank.

Also, the majority of low-ranked Forum members are alts, so since they are not new, they should still be able to participate everywhere.

Perhaps, to reduce flood, you could boost the forum rank limit to e.g. Corporal (the rank after Gefreiter) so that if people are a bit more serious about it, they will be willing to get that extra 1k experience, whereas the current rank limit (Gefreiter) can still be easily achieved and can lead to many alts in less time - which really doesn't make it an obstacle for alts made to break rules.

SO in a nutshell: Good idea, but simply increasing the Forum membership's rank limit could be better.

Lol looks like no one trust newbies in tanki anymore lol. That means I will have to rank up my new account XxxBristarxxX to warrant officer before I can do anything in forum

Guys, we've just made some additional changes:

- Beginners are no longer able to give likes or dislikes to posts and topics

- Advanced tankers have received an increased daily quota of likes and dislikes (it's 5 times more now, 50 likes and 25 dislikes respectively)

- Advanced tankers now have an ability to hide their comments and topics

Love it!

I like the fact that mults can no longer mass up-vote their main account or mass down-vote anyone else. (I saw over 1000 downvotes on the Russian forum once )

I like having more upvotes, I was constantly running out. :D

The ability to hide posts is new, and I can see some benefits right away:

  1. When you are typing a long post, and you accidentally post it half-way through typing, you can hide it until you are finished writing it.
  2. If you post in the wrong section by mistake, you can hide the post and make the correct one.
  3. You can hide posts that you feel are totally unnecessary, or ones where you have typed ~deleted~

I would like to raise a yellow flag on this last update though....Semyon, if you feel that my view is tarnished or wrong in any way, please call me on it.

  1. People can hide posts that they made which got lots of dislikes.
  2. People can hide posts that have violations, making it harder for regular forum users to report them. (I know that Moderators can still see them, but we help them by reporting.....)
  3. People can also hide posts that Moderators have edited to include a ban. (I think.....if I'm wrong, please tell me, I would like to know)

Anyway, that's my opinion on the new Forum update. All around, I give it a 9/10. :D

Say it with me everyone. Finally we can up-vote more then 10 posts!

I've been hoping for that for a long time now and it has finally come.  :D
