FPS

Hello, I am a Linux user of Chrome and my fps has been deteriorating for some time now.

Chrome is the only browser that I can have hardware accelerated on Linux.

Any reasons and more importantly, solutions?

I've looked at all the standard options.

Hello. Google Chrome is generally a bad browser for playing Tanki. I would recommend you to use Mozilla Firefox instead. It is possible to enable hardware acceleration on Linux version of Firefox. Follow the steps to enable it:

  1. Type about:config in Firefox (URL bar)
  2. Find layers.acceleration.force-enabled and layers.offmainthreadconposition.enabled and set them to true. If you can't find them, hit CTRL + F and search them in config page.
  3. Reboot Firefox.
