Can't Self-Destruct

I use ctrl+\ to self-destruct as there is no Delete button on my keyboard, now I cannot use it any more? Please help its been a problem since I came back from my return on Tanki

 

EDIT : I've tried switching on and off my PC; Power-washing it too. still a problem.

Be sure you're doing it right. First, hold down CTRL, then press \ and release both keys.

Also, one key may be used for more than one symbols in different language options. Change your keyboard language to US keyboard and try again.

Did all of this, still not working. And I'm 100% sure my keyboard controls are working.
