Yes, he is still there, and has gone off line then back on for a bit then off again, i cannot invite him to battle iether

That is the same thing i experienced for about a week...i got a friend request from a blank name...at day one i didnt reply...

At day2, out of curosity, i accepted it...but found it offline...

And after few days, i recieved another request...i rechecked if the old one was still in my friends, and he was there... I accepted the the second immidiately...there were now two friends with a blank name...

I looked for them for weeks and never found them online..and suddenly, at one day, they both disappered together....

It all was too wierd.....i thought it was a ghost and let him go away...lol..:lol:

Try searching his nickname in your friends list. Search letters one-by-one and see what happens.

Or, try copying his name. Click on the space where his name's supposed to be and copy.

Really my account is hacked so I open this and this problem you are asking tell to Game_Vironets.  Ok and that that player with no name wil be online so see which battle he plays and you can understand this rank by seeing the battle rank to join .example :  guy with blank name request you to make friend you made then he online so visit this battle and see the rank to join the battle like : to so the player with no name with be between to only. Or chat with him in tanki chat.

thats exactly what happened to me...both of them suddebly left...its TOO wierd...<_<...«

Maybe it's a glitch, in this case you can try cleaning browsing history and caches.

Just delete that player from the list, if he/she is your friend would send you again a request and will work properly. 

it happened to me once before, its a bug or flash player issues.
