Hello, tankers! This issue I'll walk you through all the moments we love to experience in Tanki Online. Ranging from returning the flag while your opponent is distracted, to catching a gold box just after joining a battle, Tanki can sure take you on an emotional rollercoaster. So, without delay these are the Top Ten Tanki Beast Moments!

10. Getting those multi-kills

Everyone loves the thrill of killing numerous people with a single blast, it's simply fun and incredibly rewarding. Be it an easy double or a long range triple, seeing tanks blow up all at the same time just makes anyone feel exceptional every time it happens. Additionally, you can perform the move with different weapons, killing a clutter of enemies with the mighty Thunder or melting their armor with the elegant Firebird. However, the benefits don't stop there, it lets you increase your score faster and look good doing it! After all, what more could you want? It's definitely something that makes this game more dynamic as well as motivating you to play better.

 

9. Death from above

It doesn't take a lot to give yourself a pat on the back. Sometimes timing well enough to shoot off someone's aim is enough to make you feel good, but sometimes it takes a step further. Doing all of that while mid air is certainly more demanding, but provides you with a supplementary temper boost. Not only does it damage your target, it can also be used to stabilize your hull so you don't flip over while dropping from a platform or bridge. Executing the move from a big enough height might put your tank through a barrel-roll, making everyone applaud your parkour prowess. Just the thought of your opponent suddenly getting killed from above before realizing what even happened deems it one of the great moments of Tanki.

 

8. Spin shots

Noticing an enemy behind you at the very last second can be a troublesome thing, but they say there's a way out from anything and, even if you have little time, you might as well try to survive. Braking hard, spinning your hull around while pushing that turret rotation to its maximum, it's a move you'll always need in your back pocket. Just when your opponent thought he had you as a sitting duck, you manage to counter it without him having the time to react. That's what skill is all about really, managing to pull yourself up from a tough situation and coming out on top.

 

7. Takeovers

Fast, rewarding and fulfilling all at the same time. A properly performed takeover can give you more benefits than an entire day of mediocre games. However, all that doesn't come without hard work - no one will simply let you take their hard won advantage, so it's imperative that you get some allies with you. Still, if you changed the entire battle and won a seemingly impossible game, you have good reason to be satisfied with yourself. It's pretty much seeing a trap set in front of you, but jumping straight at it with your own idea on how you'll counter it. Hardly anything is this effective in increasing your self-confidence.

 

6. Rank ups

Biggest player made celebrations are without a doubt rank up parties. A gathering of comrades to welcome their friend to the newly unlocked halls of higher ranks is always a compassionate sight to witness. With the rank up you also get a hefty crystal gift depending on your current rank to buy those newly unlocked tank parts. Thus, rank ups always stay ingrained in our memory as if they're little Tanki birthdays. Although this it's highly traditional to organize rank up parties, some pros prefer the more free spirited approach.

5. Gearing up

While I personally don't play with a lot of different turrets and hulls, buying your long wanted tank on a sale is definitely an unforgettable occasion. There's just that epic feeling you get when you upgrade your gear. You know that with buying a new weapon you'll get a different kind of gameplay and that's the excitement factor which makes the whole thing worth it. Saving up all those crystals for weeks or even months of the time just to get that single pay off, Tanki certainly lectures you that patience pays off... as long as you work all along the way.

 

 

4. Kill-streaks

Sometimes you might have too many supplies catching dust in your garage, so you decide to go on a drug spree, dominating the entire battlefield while destroying everything in sight. And nothing shows you're dominating a battle better than being on top of the team without getting killed more than once. However, there are risks when attempting this - players might target you just to ruin your d/l or because you're too big of a threat, they might leave the battle entirely because they want to avoid drug wars. As the battle progresses it will be more risky to maintain that perfect d/l. Still, that battle ending is all you need to wait for and if you played your cards right you'll have a nice screenshot to show off to friends. Overall it's not too difficult to find the right battle for a kill-streak, just make sure you have a buffer tank and a good number of hp kits!

 

3. Photoshoots

Be it selfies, spectators or spectator-less photo takers, everyone can appreciate a well taken photo. A lot of players like to have them stored in a folder for memories, posted around the forum or as profile pictures on various sites. However, every now and then Tanki administrators decide to hold a photoshoot. That's when the real fun begins. You get to meet new people, take pictures with Tanki celebrities, hang out with awesome players and have an all around great time. The updates on the next photoshoot times are posted in this topic, but you have to be quick on clicking that "play" button if you hope to get in on time!

 

2. "Yourname has taken the Goldbox"

I guess the Goldbox in itself is a great moment, but it does come with a heart attack risk. That alert sound is just designed to give you an increase in your heartbeat. However, that sudden boost in adrenaline, rise of your blood pressure and the dilation of your pupils is all worth it if your tank is the first to touch the coveted Goldbox. Once you manage to get it, you quickly take a screenshot of those lovely orange letters informing you that you're the luckiest tanker in the battle and post it in POTD. By now the Goldbox is certainly a signature mark of Tanki, having its own history and place in the game. Quite self explanatorily, this a Tanki moment everyone is keen on experiencing.

 

 

The best possible notifications you can get...

 

 

1. Last-second flag captures

Not as common in normal battles, but relatively known to happen in the Star Series as literally seconds can determine the winner of a round. The adrenaline really starts working if it's a draw game, with the last flag deciding the winner, as the timer is ticking off those last precious seconds. A lot of the times it occurs during flag exchanges where, eventually, one team cracks under pressure and the other quickly rushes to cap the flag. These situations end up in cheers and happiness for one team and bitter disappointment for the other. But that's the way the game works, so you just have to get back up and keep fighting. Last-second flag captures are incredibly fun to perform, but engaging to watch as well. It's evidently an extraordinarily source of entertainment that makes this game that more fun and unexpected.

I agree with everything you put, except you should have added something extra: Getting a multi-kill while you are in the air and both your enemies are in the air. Makes you feel like you can  take on anybody :wub:

Really like it when you save the outcome of a battle. For instance, the score is tied. The enemy is about to capture your flag, but you kill him a millisecond before he can do so. You return the flag.

All four of the gold boxes I've taken have been pretty much accidental -

 

1) a bunch of players annihilated each other, and I just walked in and took it

 

2) I "spawned" on the floor of Madness right next to a gold box. No one else was near, and I couldn't believe my eyes. I crawled over to it, and it was mine

 

3) In Rio, at one of my favorite Shaft sniping spots, I saw the drop zone being drawn right in front of me and just patiently waited for the box to drop (I gulped down a repair box just to increase my chances of surviving long enough...)

 

4) In Garder, I was up on the catwalk and saw the box land. There was someone coming from the other side, but I got there first.

 

So, even for those of us who are only moderately skilled, gold boxes sometimes do happen...     :)

Coming back from an intense war match is great, especially when you went in feeling like you had no chance, seeing all those gismo ranks and such :blink: :D

 

And those heart-stopping moments when the guy holding the flag on your team is in trouble, and you have to defend them from the enemy ;)

Just sharing my experience about my biggest excitement I ever had. :D

 

1. Secured win from a 100% guaranteed loser team, including teammate that use bad choice combination like mammoth railgun, a m0 teammate, a inactive player.

Great article here. I love kill streaks, especially when you can get them by trolling for example when you hide behind buildings in the enemy base and plant mines so they can't get you!  :lol:
