Ads appearing on Tanki Online pages

So Lately or maybe a couple of months ago, I've been experiencing alot of ads. The problem is that it isn't just any ads...there is ads everywhere and every time. So everytime I open a new page or site in Tanki, an ad pops up. For example I click forums and an ad pops up, I click a sub forum and another add comes up, I click 'play' and another ad pops up. There is lots of ads!

So I made this topic to know how many of ads do you guys get and where do they pop up?

By the way is there a way to get rid of them?

i dont get any ads but to disable it i think u need to remove some of your browsers extensions

Hello. Tanki does not have ads, it's probably an adware or malware plugin in your computer showing you the ads. Read this guide to get rid of them:

Is your operation system OS X Yosemite v10.10.3 or later?

This is caused by malware and viruses, you just need to scan your mac with an antivirus

I've had this frustrating problem before. After my fail attempts to google the solution out, or watch a solution video on YT, I found one way out.

 

Every ad has it's publishers/generators/host's name on it. You must keep that name in mind and do as follow;

• Start menu
• Search "Change or remove a program" [see image]
• Search the ad's host name. [see an example]
• First click on the program and then click "uninstall"(or simply right click and click uninstall). [see image]

There you go. That always works for me. Just make sure that you close your browser before uninstalling the program. Otherwise it wont uninstall for most cases.

If you only remove the ads, the malware will still be there.

in 99% of the cases, the malware is already installed on your computer.
