If you want to learn the basics of programming a game in different languages (Java, C++, etc..) I highly suggest codecademy. Though the courses are pretty solid, I would also look to other academic resources if you'd like to get a deeper understanding of a certain language.

I learned how to script when i was from the age of 5-10.. programed a 1st person shoot, mario games, donkey kong and pacman :P

note not the ones in stores a different version i made :3

Pls, super fun crossy road game k. Just a bit of hyper-links there, a spoonful of mouse pointer detectors here, a sip of figures there, and voila! You got yourself the most basic game in history (after Pong.)
