Stories of When You Caught the Gold Box

Well my best catch ever against all Odds.

It was May 9th 2015, the day of the biggest Goldbox ever in Tanki history. It was in Noise CTF, my team was loosing badly and everyone started leaving from my team and I was left alone. When I also thought of leaving someone killed me and suddenly the Goldbox siren came out. With little hope(against 6 enemy team players) went in search of gold and found everyone pushing each other for position.
Stayed away from them for a moment and waited for the right time and went straight over them with Nitro and took the gold :D . Everyone started cursing and I left with the 9000 Crystals. :lol: Lucky there wasn't a single dictator out there :ph34r:

I suppose I'll just recall my first gold box... catch. Since all the subsequent catches have been like *meh*, just happened to be in the right place at the right time. You know, your everyday 'the universe is aligning' for me moments. 

 

If memory holds right, this catch occurred on my first day (evening) of playing TO, way back when. I was in the map Aleksandrovsk, then called 'Happy New Year's', when I heard a blaring siren go off in the middle of the match, and the words "Gold box will be dropped soon" (I think) appear on my screen. As you would expect, I thought to myself, "oh ok, a gold box? uh cool". To my luck, every other player in the match (recruit rank) had no knowledge of this "Gold box", and therefore remained as unaware of its almighty, almost heavenly, secret, as I did. Next thing I knew, a gold colored box is descending to the ground (huh gold colored Gold box, who would've guessed). So little old me drives my M0 Hornet up to where I guesstimated the box would drop, and alas, a few seconds later I became 3000 crystals richer. Seeing that my crystal amount jumped not 10, but 3000 crystal, clearly left me ecstatic and overjoyed. 

 

I'm fairly certain that after I caught the Gold and typed "yeaaaaahhhh" into the chat system multiple times, I received a warning for my spam. :mellow: And that's the story of how I got caught my first warning Gold box.

:rolleyes: i remember the day that in polygon CP for 2 hrs, dropped 4 gold box. Caught three gold box in one round. Got the first gold box with dictator (1 Hrs and 32 mins left) , second gold box with hornet (51 mins left), missed the third one, was killed with hornet (20 mins left) and finally got the third gold box with dictator (5 mins left).  :rolleyes:

Caught a Gold yesterday at Polygon.  I was in my M2 Dictator and M2 Railgun, and the Gold fell next to the pit.  I wedged my tank in between two enemies and climbed on top of everytanki.  Was almost destroyed, so I used a Repair kit.

Caught a Gold yesterday at Kungur. It dropped on the overpass, and everytanki else saw it before I did. There was a tower of tanks scrambling for it by the time I got there, but I still managed to get on top and grab it.

I caught a gold in rio. I was just normally driving around when i saw the alert. I wasnt too bothered as i hardly ever catch them, but i saw the gold fall pretty far away from me. I got nitro on my already MUed speed wasp then i shot my smokey to lift my tank up. Right before The gold fell on a viking, I got on top , generally moved around for half a second and caught the gold. The only thing which annyoed me was that while i caught that gold another gold box alert started and i didnt take notice cos i thought it was a glitch xD but hey i got 1000 cry so cant complain :D

ICaught gold when my team player were 2 and other 3 players , really ? That time every one left , only me and and other team where left (only 1) that day ws my funny gold box taken by me . I was shocked to see gold droping in less players and team :D

I got a gold box at a Stadium CTF. I was playing a Shaft/Dico and all of a sudden came the siren. My heartbeat sped up as I rolled out onto the field with only a quarter of my health left. I was in luck, with the gold crystal symbol. Everyone seemed to be immersed in fighting so only one enemy Freeze came, which I pushed out and caught the gold box (my first ever, despite being Sergeant-major).

A few days ago, I caught a Gold at Noise. It was only the second time I've played at Noise, a map I've never liked one bit. Needless to say, I like it very much now! It was on the middle platform and I dropped down to get it.
