Additionally, we’ll be having two rare missions exclusively for Generalissimos: “Destroy 9 999 tanks” and “Earn 99 999 experience points”. Completing one of these very demanding challenges will award Hornet XT, while the other will award Railgun XT. The XTs have a custom look but their specifications are identical to the regular M3 Hornet and Railgun. Additionally, they can be fully micro-upgraded and once acquired, they are yours forever.

 

If we have already got Rail/Hornet M3 and are/have MU'ed them will earning the XT variants wipe out all of the MU's we have spent crystals on?

XT equipment will be separate from original hornet-railgun. So, when you get XT, you will still keep your original Hornet-railgun.

I guess and as they said that they will be very rare tasks, so if you coincidentally got both tasks offered, then you can do it, but how much is the possibility that you may get both tasks to be done together .. if you got destroying 99999 tanks on day 1, then you may get earning 99999 scores on day 3, that will leave you with 2 days gap to collect more scores for the second mission . 

 

And that was the best chance may be, as "Rarely" means if you got destroying 99999 on today, you may never got another opportunity to collect 99999 scores or to destroy this amount of tanks until another 2 weeks or 3 . lets see
