Been here since 3 years... People come and go, but there has always been a bunch of players that have been the heart of the community. robbie got banned, I haven't seen flae in ages... Those actually were the golden times of the EN. alent00's daily Canyon CTF's, robbie and CHAMPI0N's fights on POTD and flae's troll posts.

What has this forum turned into? Where is everyone? What is happening?

Unfortunately,a good part of our veterans left,but still some of them are here..The ones that used to be the old forum

When I just started playing and coming on forum,even though I didn`t really understand what was going on,I was enjoying that..The fun,the troll,the horrible troll (pointing at you,robbie)..Even if it was scary it was fun

You could feel the vibe,and could be a little more open..People were ninja`ing eachother when posting funny pictures or gifs like all day long,there were the troll PM`s..And the most special,the .swf time..I hope you guys didnt forgot Fanten !

And now? Nothing.Absolutely freakin` nothing.

I dont say that back then we could swear or flood 24/7 , because I still remember all the 1 week bans,but,its just..Forum is no longer spontaneous,everything is clear,no more troll..The only thing that still makes the forum enjoyable is POTD

I dont want to hear now someone saying like "Go play some forum games" or "Check the creativity section,its very entertaining"

No.The forum is here to help us chill after some blowing some enemies (not necesarly though),but due to all these limitations,we cant be spontaneous anymore,and that is a big disapointment at least to me

I do miss Flae and Robbie though.

Then Robbie, who was like the descendant of the troll GODS would fool around POTD and insult CHAMPI0N ^_^

The forum was a place where no one sad could be found, where everyone enjoyed about whatever they posted. Nowadays, it's all about rules, helping players (which I have no problem with if you are thinking otherwise), but now, when I go online and look for topics, I feel like I'm the one who has to find the fun, you know, not the fun who finds me.

Oh well, I guess time flies and things change.

i think that just put me back to bed seeing we old timers need our sleep and should not be playing tanki with this new and boring generation of players...give me a break there is no rules stopping players from playing regardless how long you have been here its been 2 yrs for me and i have seen a lack of humor in tanki for some time now..even if i had a joke it was called being rude ..like come on and lighten up...

lol you dont even have 1000 posts... not saying that I dont believe you, but im sure tanki has enforced its rules better and made new ones, which probably discouraged the trolling and whatever you found amusing. I have also been playing tanki for 2 years... only a year on the forums, but yeah I too have noticed how the forums have died down a little bit. omg Tell me about it, I make a joke about how Obama and Llama rhyme and i get banned for a week :/

Still roaming around the forum , it's jsut not as fun anymore , and my goons , the guys that really made this game for me , like you left or are very inactive. I totally agree with you , every section in the forum used to be cool and funny , now I just post forced commments just to not be forgotten

Ahahah remember that like yesterday. Before he quit he send me a message though , that he was going to quit and didn't wanna do that while having arguments with me , since then it's been alright , and never seen him again.

 

A gentle reminder that a new generation of tankers is taking over... Its nice to reflect on the past, but keeping old people around will only make tanki go backwards. Maybe the forum will be more spontaneous, or maybe you just simply arnt looking in the right places. I mean, just going topic too topic isnt going to help you find this fun stuff thing...

 

Perhaps you could create drama like me for entertainment XD and have obnoxiously strong and biased opinions. That will cure your boredom quickly XDD 

Totally agree. I used to know everyone in the forum , vice versa , but now the forum is dominated by people I don't know. Old people who I grew up with on Tanki are gone or i simply don't have contact with anymore. Guys like Dan (OP) , flae , redbaron , faaiq , tiger. (there are more but this is just a quick post).

Seems I live under the forum's rock. The only trolls I really knew were CheapPlasticFlower and Contaminated. Hue....the true golden age of the forum.

That aside, a lot can happen in 3-4 years--people get bored, frustrated, banned, etc. and move on with life (or get one).

I could say at this point I lurked the TO forums for quite a while, on and off playing periods, and I don't even know 95% of the EN community nowadays. So there you have it, the rise and fall of many tankmen over the years.

 

Always keep in mind though that the TO forums will hardly see a decline in bigots, hypocrites, white knights and whatever else horrible cancer plaguing this community, if ever.
