Expecting you to MU to m2, just buying will be cheaper + you can get it on a sale. 

With MU, you get the m2 equivalent as soon as you buy the m1 upgrade.

Each side has its pros and cons but I recommend you MU 1-2 times then wait for M2 upgrade to be unlocked

 

EDIT: It is cheaper not to fully MU, just wait

I have twins MU. if i want to upgrade MU1 i can do it using 35K crystal. but on other side i can simply do micro upgrade, like damages has 14 steps. forces 22 steps etc. if i finish upgrade "damages 14 steps" it will be equal to MU1 tank.

so juts wondering if the cost is equal or micro upgrades takes much more money.

Micro takes more money if you Micro Upgrade all parameters

Don't MU. I tried it on one of my accounts with the HP of wasp m0 to a wasp m1 and i only have 3k crystals one rank before i get m1, and it's only a 20% discount, where if i didn't MU, i would have had way more crystals. Don't MU.
