You know why I picked him as my name.  You have seen ruffian and secretariat?

i have watched the races since the 70's i had to kick my dad off the tv when it was on ..lucky car races were done just in time for it...loved watching them then and still now i have gone to the track mostly for harness races

I was there - my family, relatives and I were seated across from the 1/8th pole. First come, first serve back then. It was a madhouse the entire race but even more so when they came at the top of the stretch. THAT was a duel!

No. At the time I did not know about him. But I did know about Forego and Wajima. I was there for Forego's last race when he got beat by Upper Nile. But Forego was carrying 132 lbs to Upper Nile's 119 lbs. It was a rainy day and  muddy track. I followed Triple Crown only after I saw Seattle Slew win it on TV. Remember those days? Twelve channels and ABC's Wide World of Sports was the descendant of ESPN. That ski jumper must be mad every time they show him with the part saying "and the agony of defeat".

I wonder who will win this year

One of the top two who has the fastest time at 9F. The time has to be =< 1:48.1.

Mohaymen is the favorite so far. But I will wait. I will box the two fastest at 9F in a heavy exacta.

Did you see California Chrome with the Dubai Cup over the weekend? He's getting better with age.
