As some of you may have already noticed, the Tanki Online FAQ is being reworked and relocated. Previously, Tanki's FAQ was spread out between the forum, the Wiki, and an extension of TO's primary domain. This lacking of a system and structure was recognized as an issue, and the decision was made to consolidate and relocate all of Tanki Online's FAQ resources to one site. This change initially appeared to be lacking in form, though after some hard work and careful thought, the site is looking better and better as the days go by. This is due both to the efforts of Help Site Consultants and players; a combined effort that keeps the site running smoothly.

So if you're looking for a FAQ and are unable to find it in the usual places you look, please check help.tankionline.com. At present, we have just under 70 FAQ topics with almost two thousand answered inquires posed by players. And more official resource topics are being added and transfered over every day. Eventually everything will be on the Help site.

As I have achieved my main goal in Tanki (reaching Gismo), I play now mainly for missions, and I would like to be active in Tanki not only in the game or at times in the forum, but also to contribute... Is it possible to join the Help site Consultants and contribute to the site?

The creation of this extra site dedicated to the FAQ was a good idea in terms of organisation, but I'm afraid many users of the forum (many visitors of this site are forum users) don't make the effort to go and visit that site. Even when they have a question about the game, they don't think about the fact that there's a FAQ site, ready to help them. They have been accustomed to ask their questions on the forum, and not on the site. So the site is good for organisation, as I said previously, but to make it even more efficient, Tanki should do more advertising for their site, on forum as well as in game. And these things start now, maybe it's small, but putting the link to the site in your post would be a good idea to remind players of that site, simply because they will click on the link, see a bit how it looks like, and by that, when they will have a question, they will be more likely to ask it there.

Now, creating such topics, with such polls is a good idea. Glad to see the old 'consultant' staying active in his moderator job! :)

I just hope they make it work on mobile devices. -_-

Unfortunately this is an issue with the platform that Tanki Online uses for the help site. A resolution doesn't appear to be in the near future, but perhaps one day it'll perform well on all mobile devices. Note: If this helps at all, I have experience with the Help site functioning fine on an iPad Mini from the landscape view.

At present, I manage affairs about the running of the help site, and you'll see Adequacy all about posting. I try to keep up with the interaction as well, but for me, the up keeping of topics in our Knowledge Base is the top priority. Either way, at present, we are not in need of additional members for the Help Site Consultant team, and thusly have not yet released an application.

This change initially appeared to be lacking in form, though after some hard work and careful thought, the site is looking better and better as the days go by. This is due both to the efforts of Help Site Consultants and players; a combined effort that keeps the site running smoothly.

Furthermore, as has been stated in the topic post, the Help site functions at its best when both players, and Helpers are actively involved. I'm not referring to the fact that we need players to ask questions just so we have something to answer, I'm referring players who may know a bit more about the matter than others posting their suggestions and lending a helpful hand. Adequacy and I answer many topics, but we also validate answers players provide, and if correct, mark the player's post as the answer.

I do in fact agree with all you have said above, and have had these very thoughts myself in the past. I'm already looking into making other Tanki Online resources more accessible to the average player who may not be so active in parts of our community beyond the game right now. Additionally, we have our ever great Chat Mods roaming the servers, not only keeping them clean, but also lending a hand when possible. If they don't know the answer, they'll suggest people visit the Help site.

And thanks, I try my hardest to keep things going in the right direction.

For some players, going to help site is easier but for me and other players, forum is a quite better place.

I'd agree with the former, but not the latter. The forum is good for what it is intended to be, and the same can be said for the Help site. I think for some players who have been here longer, the forum feels more comfortable simply because it is more familiar.

dont get it -_-

If you didn't get it, then it's because you didn't read what was written, as this has all been quite clearly explained.

Please help Crystal has spent please, help me by mistake and how to retrieve it

What a good opportunity to make use of the Help site...

Nug help site <_< Forum FAQ section was waaaay better. Can't even use it properly on phone hhhhh

Actually, the Help site's layout will provide a far better UI for players and serve to be a positive long term and short term solution. As for the inability to use the site on mobile devices, that's just an issue with the platform Tanki Online is using for the Help site.

Going to this site is too much effort, if I have a question now I just ask it in chat

No more effort than logging onto and using the forum. Also, you will find that there is more accurate information on the Help site. The Knowledge Base is large and growing, and if you can't find it there, soon enough Adequacy or I will post the answer, or mark a player's post as the answer.

In my case it is more effort, I have a forum tab open all the time so I could just find the appropriate page there rather than open a new page and repeat the process

Actually most of the time there's no need to log in to ask a question. Just open Helpsite and search for your question (it may have already been asked before).

If you cannot find your question (and therefore the answer to it), just log in, type the same question in the same search field and press "Ask a question". We'll be more than happy to answer your questions; we usually get to them fairly quickly.

The help site just look confusing  to me, so I don't use it. I normally don't have any questions about the game, but if I do have some, I just abuse my contacts :D (thanks to all my friends who do help with that, you know who you are)

Hahaha - Since you mentioned it, every time you toss me a message, I'll now direct you to the Help site. Ha, thanks for giving me the thought. ;)
