If they would have spread the rumor that this sale wuold be only 25% and then come out with 40%... everybody would be celebrating now.

 

It is a game about anticipating and shaping players expectations... or leaving them on their own rumors and bust their dreams short before the sale.

It should be painfully obvious they have no clue how to entice and wow customers/players.

Ok, I hate to rat on mods but the only reason are happy about this sale is because they get free crystals weekly. Now I'm not dehumanizing mods, they do earn their share, BUT, they have the option of the crystals that we don't. I'm just saying, Dont act like were dehumanizing you because thats not the point, I'm just saying, you don't have to get all mad and defensive when we disagree with your opinions. Thanks.

100% this. This thread has show many of you tanker's true colors. A sale is a sale, and hey, 40% is a lot better than the 25% I and many others thought it would be. So it isn't a whole 50%, I mean, we did just had one not that long ago (Tanki's Birthday). And think about it: in 2011-2012 you would only get one or two major sales per year so be grateful that we get anything at all! Devs could have easily chosen this holiday to be just another gold box event. I think 40% is alright to me, it's a pretty big cut to incredibly expensive prices.

 

I'm sorry, Semyon. You and devs tried to do a good thing and it backfired on you, big time. You don't deserve the amount of hate you're getting. I hope this doesn't bring down your opinion of the Tanki EN community.

1) The gold boxes are just double the value...that means double the fun..double the excitement for each drop..

 

2) Maximum of the tankers were confused if the sale would be 25% or 50%....they thought that it might be 25%...why not get excited and feel good..that its 15% more than that...a greater sale?

 

3) No one noticed that they had implemented the sale order wise...they have let the tankers fill their pockets first, with the double golds and and then the purchase sale...and at the end has been the equipment sale...so you can have some crystals with you to get better garage..

 

 

1. Double the value - big deal. I need to catch 20 gold boxes just to make up the difference between the 40% sale and the 50% sale. That isn't going to happen, and, every time gold boxes are increased in value you end up with a proportionate increase in mults and saboteurs. NOT FUN.

 

2. I don't know of anyone anticipating a 15%, 25%, or any sale lower than 50%. It's all I saw in battle chat for two weeks now - tankers discussing what they would get. Now a lot of people are going to be affected by it. At a 50% sale I could upgrade 3 items: one turret, one hull, and one paint. Now, due to the 15% difference in value between a 40% sale and a 50% sale getting the paint is out of the question.

 

3. You might have a valid point if battle funds were 2x higher the day prior to the sale. But only increasing the value of a gold box? See above.

Thanks alot Tanki. I was really looking forward to get Rico M1 + M2, Dictator M1 + M2, Smoky M2 and Loam but I guess your dumbass sale had to ruin it.

 

 

 

Also, stop making XT's for Generalissimos, we low rankers want something special for us too. Generalissimos deserve all of the XT's and not us?

I had my savings set for 50%. 40% sort of throws my plan out. I have no time for the other festivities, so that was kind of all I needed.

Don't know how many of the Tankers I speak for, but an early announcement of no sale at all would be less annoying than weeks of buildup to a "Great sale!  Great sale!  GREAT SALE!"  which turns out to be the weakest assortment of discounts in years.  I am of an age when many of my friends moan about how things are not as good as they used to be, but here at Tanki Online I can prove it.

OMG! Tanki! Are you trying to get LESS people to play this game? Why would you change the greatest Sales Day that only comes once a year's discount from 50% to 40%, to you it may not be a big deal but for us, it could be in the way of our dream kit. For people that have not been playing for a year, they really need 50% discounts, it's UNFAIR that other people got 59% discounts for YEARS but we get 40% only. Think of how unfair it is, Ik its prolly already confirmed but if it's not, please change the discount to 50%, look at how many down votes the first page got, that's how many angry people there are multiplied by 10 (for all the people that don't have forum accounts or that don't check their forum accounts).

How did one of the most exciting events in Tanki Online get so many downvotes?? I personally think this all sounds quite exciting!

I guess people think Tanki don't feel it's as exciting as previous years as they have reduced the discount to 40% from 50%.

 

We have all been working hard to get enough crystals (based on previous days being 50%) to find out we now can't afford what we wanted to get and don't have time to make up the difference.

 

Guess Tanki are trying to come up with ways to make us buy crystals.
