Rip all my plans.

10% is only 1$ of a 10$ product, but 100$ over a 1000$ product.

It's not 10% difference in two prices - it's actually 15%. And in my case it costs 40,000 more crystals to do my upgrades than if the items were 50% off.

I still believe that the tankers expressing their disgust at this sale should take a step back. I've been playing many F2P games with the option to buy your way into better upgrades for awhile, and I have NEVER EVER ONCE seen a sale as huge as 40%. On top of that in the same year you got 5 times the earnings and have another sale probably coming up on Christmas probably close to 40%. I for one am extremely happy with this sale and believe most tankers should be. I am fully prepared to advance through all the ranks w/o a single sale. Just don't expect anything from Tanki and you will be happier when they do give you things.

Not many F2P games would cost 700$ to get the full game experience (1 M3 tank alone) and yet spend another 50$ on supplies just to be able to compete. Most developers don't give sales because they don't need to. They have a well-balanced monetary model which won't affect players as much.

 

On the other hand, in Tanki, costs of M3 combos without a sale reach close to 1 million cry. An average 15min battle at that Gismo gives around 1000 cry only if you win and you are first. If you think you can advance through all the ranks without sale, well you're definetly wrong.

 

This game may look F2P, but in reality, it is insanely Pay2win.

I think you guys fail to realize that Tanki recently had a weekend of 5x battle funds. This sale (which I think is the one directly following the previous) is geared to make them money to make up for the lost income. Think of it. Why would people buy crystals if they get 5x the normal amount? Tanki needs to make up the money lost.

Yeah, money lost. As if!

They only loss a potential money. Still potential.

Now they make even less potential buyer.

 

Why would people buy crystals if they dont get what they expect? Tanker days always 50%.

Anyone know when the 50%/80% MU sale might be? That's what I was waiting for.

 

P.S. Remember Tankers don't be foolish and purchase anymore crystals from Tanki with real money until they announce whether our accounts are being transferred to the new Unity game. If the old Flash accounts are not being moved over to Unity then all crystal purchases are a phenomenal waste of money. Be warned.

1. Double the value - big deal. I need to catch 20 gold boxes just to make up the difference between the 40% sale and the 50% sale. That isn't going to happen, and, every time gold boxes are increased in value you end up with a proportionate increase in mults and saboteurs. NOT FUN.

 

2. I don't know of anyone anticipating a 15%, 25%, or any sale lower than 50%. It's all I saw in battle chat for two weeks now - tankers discussing what they would get. Now a lot of people are going to be affected by it. At a 50% sale I could upgrade 3 items: one turret, one hull, and one paint. Now, due to the 15% difference in value between a 40% sale and a 50% sale getting the paint is out of the question.

 

3. You might have a valid point if battle funds were 2x higher the day prior to the sale. But only increasing the value of a gold box? See above.

 

 

1) why not play for a few more hours?

Didn't you play for greater hours during the 5x battle funds? I believe that everyone did...

 

2) Whenever I was in any battle, there were always 3-5 players asking about the % of sale...and maximum times the conclusion was - "Perhaps they will make it just 25%...but lets hope for the best and it to be 50%"...that means that somewhere in their minds they expected that it could be 25% too...

 

3) Well that's again what I said above....why not play a bit longer....and if playing longer affects your health, then you can pay...everything can not be always be in your favour...sometimes you should accept a bit change also....its for everyone's good..^_^..

It sounds like @bossman161 and you enjoy playing more for the same rewards and paying more for the same equipment.

 

I have some good advice for you:

 

Wait until after the sale and then buy your stuff.

I'm just happy for a 40% sale :3 I remember when there were pretty much no sales in 2012.
