If it says 8:00(PM) UTC, you just need to subtract 4 hours from the stated time. GMT=UTC, which makes it 8:00-4:00=4:00PM for you. ;)

 

However, SLTV resets the timezone according to your location you choose. If you choose your city where you reside currently, it would show the times of your timezone.

I live in Michigan, so that may be my timezone.

The setting is interesting, and provides opportunities for a good match. However, there are certain, "bad", combinations that should be avoided... for example, a team consisting of 2 or 3 firebirds or from 2 or 3 isidas. IMO elementals should restrict to one per team, or at least to same number per team.

Apart from these occasions, it will be a great opportunity to see some rather large maps in action, such as kolhoz or medium-large as Industrial zone... even Chernobyl, can provide loads of good action.

 

The main disadvantage though, is the prize... 120.000 crystals for the first team? That is cheap. Taking into consideration that for most maps teams should have minimum six players, even the first team will split 120k to six, equals to 20k maximum per member. And what if team has 8 or 10 members?

Even worse for second and third teams.

I mean, isn't this kinda cheap?

Not everyone has the prefect timezones. All we can do about that is annoy the majority of players with a particular timezone in common and lighten up the minority of players with one different particular timezone. We need to support the majority , elsewise the tourny would be dead.

 

However - that doesn't mean players with non-common timezones can't participate in such tournys. We'll just need to adjust the timings. The SLTV refs' matter a lot - so we need to keep their timezone under notice as well.

I ain't being rude but most of the time only people who are major rank and  higher get to participate in tournaments. For example, duet mastes. Starladder, Hexthaphalon or whatever its called and now you have daily cups which is only for people rank major and higher. Great. Why can't like medium ranks get to be in tournaments? I have a higher account same rank as yours the drag.

Announcement: eSports in TO

Tankers!

 

Lately, one of the most popular questions in the community has been “What will happen to eSports in Tanki?”

 

It’s time to give a detailed answer.

 

We’ve decided to cease TO’s partnership with external eSports organizations and concentrate all of the company’s efforts and resources on launching the new version of the game, which will include an automated system for organizing tournaments. This system will strengthen eSports in Tanki, making it more accessible and more popular, which is our goal.

 

Once the New Tanki is launched and the eSports functionality proves successful, we’ll start looking into signing a contract with an eSports organization.

 

As for the current Tanki, we’ll be holding eSports activities independently, without collaborating with any contractors.

 

Additionally, there’s a possibility that the automated system for tournaments will be added to the current Tanki as well.

 

We’ll be keeping you informed!
