1. I could have totally removed the message and everyone would cry out censorship
2. I could have issued him a ban for a just being a tad silly and pushy but then everyone would cry out dictatorship
3. I could have let it passed unfiltered but then everyone would cry out corruption-ship I love ships :)
4. I could issue a warn and edit the few troublesome words and let the discussion flow, which is what-we-usually-do-ship

Do not try to divert the subject by focusing on Arabiannoble. You are suggesting that his video broke the rules, which is fine to me. However, so did that other post that attacked me directly with insults. Instead, you decided as an administrator to just change the text while intentionally leaving all the insulting implications in place. The other day I wrote that the administrators do what ever they want in this game, and that this is a sign of corruption. My assumption was based upon a fact that Ostrica in a civilized way came to invalidate, so I silently accepted that I was in the wrong and moved on. However from the way you actually treated this situation, the initial assumption I made about the administration doing what ever they want that still continues to be valid.

 

As a last note, I did not enjoy the read, and I was very close to dying from reading that wall of nonsense text with random quotes and pictures from random skype conversations.  If you want to make a point, you should start by figuring out what is the point that you want to make. Then you start by writing a small introduction, the main paragraph with all your arguments, and the conclusion to give your final point a strong stand. I recall learning that from when I was in primary school. You are doing exactly the opposite thing, and as if that wasn't enough, you always start your posts with irony, and no matter how strong your arguments might be, your "you are stupid and here is why" approach automatically weakens them.

 

I joined the conversation in this thread because I was in doubt about the ability of some people in this game to run the sections they were assigned to run, in a proper and meaningful way. You confirmed my doubts.

 

I am done with this thread, I will go on to enjoy the game, what ever there is left of it anyway.

I do not know where all the arrogance at tanki comes from - it is certainly not deserved. 

Sorry if some of us sent that kind of vibe, but rest assured that admins do want and encourage constructive criticism. Alas, there is not much we can do in terms of game development - I can only speak about my own line of work, which is chat, since I do not have anything to do with programming part. So if you have any ideas and suggestions regarding chat moderation, my colleague Shar0n and me will be more than happy to hear.

And this is one of the things players are upset by. Many players see the Admins as the ones making the decisions about the game. They don't understand that you don't really know anymore about the game then the players do. :(   I would suggest that a V-log be dedicated to explaining the different levels of "staff" in this game. Also it should be posted on the main page somewhere.

 

My problem is, we don't have enough representatives from the games developers to ask these questions. Additionally as admins and mods you people should have access to a lot more official information then you currently do. If you are the ones that deal with the players first hand you are also the ones that they are going to ask the questions. So if you don't know the answer, your response should be "I don't know, but let me find out and I will get back to you".

We used to have "consultants" but somebody decided we didn't need them anymore, well maybe they should be the ones with the answers we seek. I have seen it before and so have many others, where one mod says one thing and a different mod says something else, and neither one, according to you, should be saying anything because they really don't know the correct answers. Well do you represent Tanki Online? YES, then you should know or be able to find out the answer, providing those at Tanki headquarters know themselves.

Additionally, "Do we get to transfer our accounts" is , by far the #1 question on every bodies mind, in every forum. It have been 2 years and they still can't decide. I don't believe this for a second.  The problem is if they say NO people will stop playing this version and stop spending all together. If they say YES people will continue to keep playing and spending money here, but the financial impact of transferring will hurt Unity. SO it is a double edged sword.  They really messed up this one, I wish them luck, they are going to need it.

Very well said sir and my sentiments exactly. I do not know where all the arrogance at tanki comes from - it is certainly not deserved. During the long period of lag the "programmers" at tanki were saying that it would just "be a slow process" to fix. I am a programmer here in the states and if I told my boss "it would be a slow process" I would be fired. I guess programming in Russia is just not the same.

Thanks for the vlog suggestion eh, definitely transmitting that.  However I do have to add that practically all questions players asked in this topic have been answered.  I myself personally dedicated a week of my free time ensuring every single one was answered with the latest and most up-to-date info.  

 

What's annoying however is that some people will never be satisfied with answers given, always retorting with sometimes the most absurd arguments or being unrealistically impatient, not to mention some allow themselves to get dragged into the already existing flaming environment there's been since last Sunday.

 

I'll tell you guys how it really is.  Its saddening to all mods and admins that cause of a few spread rumours carefully crafted by a few individuals the hate train has been chu-chuing quite hard the whole week and many many players, from all categories and age group are embarking on it without thinking twice about it and they too are very rather casually bashing the mods and admins without giving any second thoughts about the words they're using, or even reviewing the answers provided.

 

double standards, pretences, cover-ups, corruption, those are words people have been using rather lightly the past week.  The younger audience sure will always go on the rebellious side and rebel, its normal, I've been there too.  But it would be greatly appreciated if the more mature ones too don't engage in the futile rebellion and engage in conversations in a more cool manner.

 

Constructive criticism has always been welcomed in this game.  But click on that previous button a few times and read, go in chats and read, there's also been a lot of negative and unconstructive criticism as well.  And also a lot of impatience.  

And last @Golfinray I do not know what language you program in, but go see what is happening to the Flash technology in the industry and why.  Each week there's a new article coming about this.  In fact you don't need to be a programmer to read these articles to understand the problems.  But you say you're a programmer and yet you find devs' answer about the problems with flash being an unreasonable one?  Well I'd love to see your arguments refuting that, the whole gaming, no, the whole internet industry would love to hear why.

 

Also apologies if you got the wrong vibes earlier on.  Just bear in mind there will still be some who'll keep posting absurdities in here, so don't just read our replies, read to what we're replying as well :)

Hi there buddy :)  Correct me if I'm wrong : Direct purchase of XT via premium is free??????????  :huh:  :huh: Premium implies these guys are gonna have to pay with their real hard earned money to even just get the premium membership badge.  What or how much after that will it cost them to acquire the XTs they want, I don't know.  None of us here knows.  You guys are just assuming you know everything from an announcement line of a book without reading the book.  Inferring and speculating while assuming you know all the relevant data.

 

Regarding Daily Missions I explained that all too well in this post ← Check it out and let us know why we should be giving stuff away freely to people who are not even playing the game but just logging in and out each day?

 

I hope you understand that when I said I'm gonna recommend to devs to not make discounts at all in unity it was a sarcastic rant in reply to someone who was acting like he got too much ice cream (spoilt)

 

ps: we do know about that, several of our helpers, including myself are in the 20+ category and sooooo many of our customers are working individuals and no, as long as the chat is kept civil no one will get banned :)  (btw that last part is something our younger customers for the most part have a hard time understanding and that's why you see all too much banlines)

 

1. you need to explain more about premium.it is extremely unclear to many still.

2.you should not give thigns to people freely but atleast rewards should make some sense.there are plenty of mines and speed boosts in rewards.seriously..nobody wants these.do not tell me these rewards are randomly generated.

I know you have gone to the devs on repeated occasions trying to get things fixed and nothing happens.  Yele asked over a year ago to get something done about /vote. I had sent her an idea, which by the way I went ahead and made for myself, and she liked it and informed me that she has already requested something to be done. SO here we are today, and we are still stuck with this pathetic excuse for a reporting system and just doesn't work.
