I don't leave in order to force them to change something. I leave because this game stopped feeling like fun and started to feel like work.

Work is fine.. but work

- without fun and

- without payment

- and without heloing someone else or make a necessary change for something important..

-> sucks ;)

 

As I can't make them change, I make a change for myself - and so I leave.

 

 

Nothing lasts for ever, life included. Thus, games are but a breath in our lives.

So, now or after a month, or even later, we will all say our goodbyes. Hoping to be about some good moments.

We didn't share moments in battle, but we shared moments in the forum. We shared opinions and feelings in regard to this game.

So, farewell. May you be successful in many other games throughout your life. And always a good guy. :)

Tanki is making me feel the same way both me and my bro quit cause of how much of a different game it is :(  i spend more time playing chess then on anything to do with tanki, for a boy my age thats bad. i spent money too but tanki kept giving us all an infinite thing to spend crys on, I finally decided tanki was a unbeneficial buisness that wants more then it will give! I got nothing,but grief and a few distant friends through tanki

All the criticism you gave the game, can have a counter argument. However, it's your opinion, and if it makes you dislike the game, so be it. But the question is, why leave the game? If the reasons for your leaving are hate for the game and not hate for the community, why leave? Have a look at my profile and you'll know how much I play.. I love this community, I've been a member since 2012 and still contribute to it.

Hey rohr, maybe when your back we both teach each other how to use bp ;) I too have taken a break from tanki for over a month now, you will come back, not really to play the game but because you will miss your comrades that you made here and will miss. So maybe in a months, you, Kyra, darkfin, coolthebest get together like old times? I don't hate the game. It simply makes no sense playing it any more - for me.

My personal "target" in this game is was to become as good as I was in the spring 2015 (I got worse afterwards as I played less due to personal reasons; and started to catch up the last weeks). So now I wanted to get back in shape.. and now I face an update that forces me to realign my driving and aiming each 15..30 minutes (each time I switch from XP/BP to normal battles).
It simply makes no sense any more.
 
 
I also don't want to be very active in this community in the future.
I am an optimizer by nature. I analyse things, think them through over and over again in order to improove them. And I work to realise this improvement if it seems valuable to me.
Within this game two things are valuable to me:
 1. my personal gameplay
 2. having a good time with friends
Tanki took #1 away from me.
For #2, I honestly don't want to be a close wittness to what tanki does to my friends in the future.
 
 
It is depressing, to know what goes wrong, to have ideas how to improove this game here, or how to design a free version with similar gameplay and minimized running costs; where paying players are not discriminated as "buyers" but valued as "supporters"..... and at the same time have no chance to have such plans realized.

Letting things and people go - even those you think you need - is very important in life.

It gives you the ability to separate former reality from today's reality; it allows you to conserve good moments without the attached hurts; and it makes you free to move into something new without having your sweet memories holding you back.

You will learn it and value it one day ;)

 

So stop worrying about your self! You are a pretty decent tactician already by now and if you learn to tame your temper you will grow up to a nice man ;)

 

ps: and maybe keep your judgement of other players skills and clans skills for your self, instead of making it public. It causes trouble. Looks like bragging too, you know. I know you don't wanna brag, but communication is about what the other one understands - which is not necessarily what you wanted to tell  ;-)

Rohrmeister, I'm saddened to see you go. I understand your reasons and agree with them.

You were always a calm, thoughtful, levelheaded voice, in the sometimes craziness of the game.

I enjoyed talking with you live on teamspeak during battles. I learned much from you as did many here.

Your posts were always well thought out and I really liked reading them. They made sense. 

It won't be quite the same without you.

Good luck in the future and in RL. You will be missed.
