I already stated that if anyone wanted to argue about a console or game, take it to a PM. Hide your post and do not come back. I'm rather serious.

And so I posted before it devolved into that, my preference is classic arcade games.

Games are only that expensive if u buy them brand new at the store .I can find games for under $30 that are slightly used and just as good as buying them from the store

Yeah that's true, that's what I was aiming at; new games. The gaming market is terrible right now, and it's probably gonna crash one day too... O_o

Some don't wanna buy used games either, so that's why I also brought the ridiculous price for new copies.

"Seeing as though this will turn into a argument over who's shiny black box plays the games better..."

Yeah? Ok then. You're basically enticing someone to come around and argue. Edit the post.

A lot of people have a 3DS these days... even my sisters... what's the fuss about with that thing?

Don't get the 3Ds, the 3D is blurry.

The 2Ds does all the same things without the 3d gimmick and it's cheaper.

I dunno, SSB4? I got it because of that, and to get Ocarina of Time 3D.

Hm. I'll have to do some looking at it then...

SSB4 seems to be like a must for people who buy the 3DS. I personally I don't like any SSB that came after SSB Melee... or at least... I don't like what's being done to it these days lol

Yeah well, I came along a little late for that bandwagon.

When I was a kid I got Brawl and played it so much the disk stopped working.

It's got some good titles I've heard, the main one I plan on getting is OOT3D, and maybe Majora's Mask.

True; I also own an xbox360, and one of the used games I bought just burned out right away, and was not returnable. Also, I love the feeling of getting a brand new game

Yeah, you also face that problem with used games... then when you want to get a refund for it (GameStop, I'm talking to you now) they either: Don't give you a refund and basically tell you "Sorry man, can't take the game or give you a refund. Live with it", "Alright we'll take the game, but give you a ridiculous price for it" (sometimes not even 1/3 of what the game is worth...)... it's just sometimes a hassle. But I'm sorry about that burned out disc man, if you get another copy of it, may it last you a lifetime :)

Haha, just to say how good SSB is (epsecially Melee): Whenever they hold Fighting Game tournaments, they always have a place for classics like that. Games like that are never forgotten.

I agree that it does have some good titles, I just never understood the sudden jolt for it ya know?

Thankfully the game I bought was only $20. But that's why I haven't bought any other used games, its just not worth the money in my opinion. I always keep very good care of my games, and almost punch myself when I see a tiny scratch on it. Mind you, the reason I like the N64 is because you didn't use discs - you just put a cartridge into the machine, and viola! No worries about scratching it or breaking it.

Heh... $20 is still some money lost, ya know... sometimes it can be worth the money, if you get it from somewhere like eBay where the sellers show the condition of the item, and if it has flaws or not... they tell you. ^_^

Sometimes I really think the cases they have for these games are designed to make the disk crack in the center over time... So that you go buy a new copy... LOL

I miss the days of just putting the cartridge into the console, and bam. Game's running. No fear included.

Hello everyone!

I did a little digging and didn't find a thread about this, so I figured I'd make one. And plus I don't make threads often

This is all about the video gaming world people! Here we all can share thoughts, opinions, tips, etc. Share some history if you wish!

First, if you'd kindly select a poll option, therefore I (and you) can see the diversity of people we deal with on a daily basis. I'm sorry I did not mention all of the gaming consoles in the world, I just listed some of the most popular in this day in time. After you've done that, you can throw some comments down below. If you'd like, you can openly post what console you have; games you play (such as RPGs, FPS, and so on) for all to see.

(If this topic has some errors, please let me know via PM, easier to catch me that way).

I'd hope that we're all mature enough to keep this thread clean, but I'm still gonna throw out one rule here for now. I'll edit if there's a need for it as we go along:

  • Above all else, respect the rules of the Tanki Forum, please. No flaming, disrespect, vulgar language, or any form of violations. Just don't. If I catch it, you will be immediately reported. If you want to have an argument with someone, PLEASE do it in a PM.

I'm going to first list the consoles I have, and my game preference.

I have: An Xbox 360, and Xbox ONE. I also carry a Nintendo GameCube, and Wii.

Console I'd like to have: PS4. Only have the Microsoft counterpart because of Halo 5.

My gaming preference: FPS such as Call of Duty, and Halo. RPGs like Dark Souls. Racing games like Forza... and lastly, Fighting Games like Tekken.

And... post away folks! :D

Totally agree with the Halo games and X-box console. A PS4 would be nice. I mostly play 1st person shooters and an RPG once in awhile.

Yeah, but the 3ds is definitely more portable and I own a 3ds XL which has 90% bigger screen.

It's surprisingly resilient to trauma.

I dropped it once and all it did was scare the hell out of me.

Well hey, I'd hope they manufacture them to be strong like that... no sense in spending a lot of money on something that will break in a single drop.

I've only got a wii, which I love, but my brother-in-law has an Xbox 1. Halo is one of my favorite game on any console (after EA Sport's Fifa games), and I'm looking forward to playing Halo 5 for the first time. On PCs (my main gaming devices) I mostly play Minecraft and Tanki. Maybe the occasional game of Donkey kong, Mario Kart, or Lego Star wars on the Wii, or Football manager and Sonic Dash on the Ipad will interrupt my usual routine, but overall, I stick with my three favorites: Tanki, Minecraft, and Fifa.

Out of curiosity, have any of you played any of Pangea Software classics? I will never forget those old games on our ancient i-mac, they include: Bugdom, Ottomatic, Weekend warrior (yes I spelled that right), Crow-mag rally, Nanosaur, and Mighty Mike.

Not a bad selection, Killer... what Donkey Kong game do you play? Country Returns? I actually love that game, but haven't played it for a while... I played some Lego Star Wars, Mario Kart... and some other games too. Not a Fifa fan, sorry lol... or any other Sport game for that matter... just not my thing... not a Minecraft guy either...

I've never played anything from Pangea Software... although I heard it had some pretty nice stuff.
