just tonight i decided to check out what prices are paid in different countries

 

buying in russia with a dcc you can get 750000 crystals for £27 sterling

the cost to me in uk is roughly double that

 

it is no wonder playing on russian servers everyone on it drugs like crazy when supplys to buy are cheaper than water

It's madness that they are going to get rid of this version and restart with unity. But you are right, I can't justify spending money when this is the case.

No one said that, they said they are keeping both versions, since tanki x will have a new economy, its still uncertain whether an account transferal will be possible, i mean would the game be better anyway if it were?

Even if they do keep this version, it will go downhill rapidly. There will be less moderation as they focus efforts on the new version, and most players will stop coming here. It will basically become a "ghost town".

If i change the payment or region to Russia it gives it for 2900 rubles which is around £27, will Tanki alow me to buy this way with rubles? or will it pick up my location and default it back? Never thought of buying this way.

Wow. I think I never would have spotted this, @@deadmanrising, good find! So, all this time, I've been spending x2 more amount than those in Russia? What a ripoff! Way for Alternative Poopform to cash in from the rest of the world -.-

 

 

 

This game has never been cheap. Think about if you were buying from Russia, with DCC on 50% crystal sale an amount of crystals which would let you buy ~10 000 supplies each (if we include the 75% off 1000 supply kit as purchase), all the passes (or the best ones) and every paint, turret and hull bought and upgraded all to max; how much money would you need to buy all of that?

 

Every other game that I've played, you could buy all of them together multiple times just to fill all of the money that you would need to spend to buy everything I listed above for just one account. Very cheap, indeed. And, if you check out some other games, like even Binweevils, they have a similar monetary system and STILL, the stuff that you can get for a certain price in comparison to this game is higher. This game is EXTREMELY expensive.

TO is one of the cheapest PTW games out there !

You only need to invest a few k USD (and this in the course of a couple of years) to buy a decent garage, hence a mol comfortable play.

 

If we talk about expensive games, think of EVE Online, where if you want to get the high class star-ship (a capital one, like a TITAN) you need to invest almost 10k USD per unit and you can lose it forever in a single battle !!!

 

Remember, that only the Battle of B-R5RB resulted in a non-refundable loss of equipment costing over 300 000 USD !

As anywhere, you can either waste time and/or money for you fun here ... and surely time is the one with the ultimate value, esp compared to the token money, that TO asks from its supporters !

Buying crystals in the first place is completely unnecessary. As long as you don't waste your crystals you can get a good tank combo. I got my Firewall Kit without buying any crystals or premium account at all in the game.

As said above, to gain comfort in the game, you have to invest either time or money.

And as time is much more precious, actually priceless, it is an easy decision to spare some miserable 50-100 usd per month and have your fun.

 

I will say it again - TO is one extremely cheap game ... the problem is not with the prices, the problem is with the adolescents, which have no sense of integrity or fair-play or team-work .... the servers are choking with teens and even kids ... this is what is ruining the gameplay !

 

But, in case you like the current parody of a game, then, having your pleasure and not paying for it is ... really unfair ... like to sneak into the cinema without a ticket ... this is quite childish and surely cannot be justified !

Here's a small story for you all:

 

About a year ago we made a decision to keep crystal price same for all communities and payment systems. This was done by making some purchase methods slightly cheaper, others — slightly more expensive. It also meant that we would be paying all the commissions (and those can go up to 80% when paying with SMS).

 

This was done, and everyone was happy. But then BOOM, the Ukraine crisis came, a US dollar had been 35 rubles but then started falling and got down to 80 rubles for a USD. Things have got better since then but it's still about 50 rubles per USD.

 

So, here's the thing. Most games back then decided they don't want to lose profit and increased prices for RU players. We, on the other hand, did not do that because:

 

1. The ruble is still fluctuating and nobody knows when it will stop doing that.

2. We don't want players to suffer and pay 50% more for crystals than yesterday just because their government failed. They have nothing to do with this.

 

So, this difference in prices is the result of our decision not to raise RU prices.

 

I could endlessly go on about prices on consoles, Apple products, video games and many other things, which are different in US, Europe, UK and Russia, but this doesn't really matter.

 

What matters is that we see there's a problem. On the one hand, we don't want to make crystals more expensive in Russia because purchasing power of Russians hasn't increased a bit. It decreased in fact. On the other hand, we understand questions may arise when an EN player sees this difference. The top management will be discussing this issue soon. Whether they will make RU crystals more expensive, EN crystals cheaper or something else, I do not know. We'll see. And you'll find out about it shortly after they make the decision.
