india taking a big risk playing 5 bowlers...

Yes but at the same time no. Indian batting has been relatively solid and it's not too hard to rely on Pujara - he's very consistent. Vijay and Rahane are hit and miss but Indians gonna pray for a good day. India's bowling has been pretty poor bar Ashwin and (arguably) Jadeja.

This is the sportsmanship we like to see!

I don't understand why India playing with 3 spinners on a pitch which favors fast bowlers.

But Kuldeep Yadav is good chinaman bowler who could be effective on any pitch.

Yeah, strange choice. Pitch looks racy

Yeah, it does seem like a strange choice. Australia definitely look to be in dominant form today, whereas india don't really look awake. kohli is a massive out, his captaincy this series has had a big influence.

Starc on this pitch would've guaranteed Australia the win under these circumstances. This match might be even. Both teams missing their key player. Hope rests on Cummins atm.

yeah. don't forget hazlewood though, on a decent wicket he could really trouble the indian batsmen. hazlewood was probably better than starc in the recent home series so on a wicket like this he could really have a massive impact

Warner currently on 58, 38 of which were due to finding the boundary.

Smith currently on 72, 40 of which was due to hitting fours.

Is it a classic Indian ground with really small boundaries? I can't find the boundary lengths anywhere on google.

India finally bowled out for 332. They played stubbornly and batted well. It's debatable that India is trying to not let Australia at any expense because India doesn't usually bat that slow. Maybe they feel disadvantaged without Kohli? Tbh, Kohli has done nothing extravagant apart from his captaincy this series so India should be looking to kill Australia, considering we don't have Starc (who was doing decently this series) on a green pitch. Good cricket though. The irony that Kuldeep and Lyon (both spinners) flourished on a green pitch.

Aaaaaand Warner out. Aussies 1/10.  <_<

Update: Great! Smith out too!   Aussies 2/31. We need a partnership sometime soon or we're gone.

Fair to say Maxwell is currently carrying us and is our last hope (together with Wade). At least bat out the rest of the day and maybe even half of tomorrow and just aim for a decent lead then go hard.
