i entered my nickname, and confirmed the captcha, but it said i need an email address, and i had already confirmed to apply! have i done anything wrong?

A lot of tankers are having the same problem as you. When you go into setting, and you can see your email address (w*****r@*****.com) or something like this, it is not registered to your account. The problem people are having is getting a link sent to their email to confirm.

If you go to the top of page 28 you will see what I had to do to link and confirm my email address to my account. I hope this helps you.

you my need to go to tanki support if it still is not letting you register. when you say email is linked when you go into setting can you see your email address or does it say change password and email. if you can see it its not linked. see posting #567.

other than that you will have to email support team and explain the problem in depth and don't forget to use your in name game or they wont know who you are.

Thanks Boleon for your answer. My email wasn't linked to my account. I followed the steps:

For all those who are confused why they cannot register due to the fact that you aren't linked to an e-mail, it's actually because you registered and linked your account via Miniclip. Many people have this problem and they are unable to know why. It can stop people from registering into some tournament where linking accounts to an E-Mail is required.  How do you know if you linked your account using Miniclip? It will look something like this: http://prntscr.com/9lofve How to fix this? Simply do the following:

 

1. Log onto tanki from www.tankionline.com

 

2. Go to settings and in the E-Mail box, type another one of your e-mail address and click on save. Next, open the settings again, and type the E-Mail you actually want to link the account to. After typing it in, click save again. It should say that an E-Mail has been sent. 

 

3. Go to your E-Mail and you should have received an email with a link that looks like this:

 

4. Copy it in notepad and select the first part:

 

And type this instead:

 

Then copy the whole link and paste it in the URL bar of your browser. It will take you to the Tanki Homepage. Simple click on Play, it will load and it should say that the E-Mail has been confirmed. 

 

Now it works fine and I reserved my nickname in Tanki X

Today, February 1, we have officially launched the full-scale closed beta of Tanki X… and open testing is soon to follow!

 

Additionally, we are introducing a system for reserving your nickname. This allows you to reserve your Tanki Online nickname and, once the open testing for Tanki X starts, you will be able to join it using the same username.

 

Here’s what you need to do to reserve your nickname:

• Make sure your rank is Sergeant or higher, and that you have a verified email address linked to your account
• Visit the special site for reserving nicknames
• Enter your nickname in the respective field and click on the “Get the code” button

You’ll receive an email containing a special code on the email address linked to your account. Keep it safe because you’ll need to use it during the registration in Tanki X if you want to start the game with your old nickname.

 

ATTENTION! You don’t need to enter your password or email address to get the code. If you are asked to enter anything besides your nickname, this means it is NOT the original site and you are at risk of becoming a victim of phishing. Pay attention to what you are doing and only follow the link mentioned in this post.

 

Now, enter the special site and reserve your nickname — this option will only be available till the launch of the open testing of Tanki X.

You may have your email in settings but it may not be linked and confirmed. Take a look at page 29 there are bits on there about the difference between an email address in setting and an email address linked and confirmed. I hope this helps.

Sorry guys the whole process does not work for me. I have e-mail associated with my account. When I follow the link it says e-mail was sent but no email at all. Contacted help tankionline twice and was totally ignored twice. If you consider yourselves great support - think again!

I still have not receive code in the linked email after reservation done on website. What to do?

I have verified and re-verified my email and when I enter my nickname and click get code it keeps coming up "To receive the code, you need to link an email address to your account and confirm it"  I have an email linked.  So what next??????

Take a look at pages 28 and 29 there is stuff on there that may help you.

If you are using miniclip you need to access tanki direct. Come out of miniclip and go to www.tankionline.com and do your conformation email link. When you are all done save your garage to your favourites you will then be able to access direct all the time.
