Allowing Multiple People to Edit a Topic

Recommended Posts

This is a very common problem. It is always so annoying when you have an inactive Clan Leader (he was the first Clan I was EVER in, he took like 1 month to add my name!) who never seems to be active. Another problem is helping people maintain a front page. There is also the possibility of maybe fixing up people's errors and mistakes on a front page. It can help experienced people show inexperienced players how to use BBCodes. People should be able to select who they would like to be able to edit the topic.

Inactive leader? Then join another clan! Because inactive clans will never have success and will eventually close!

The author is responsible for his own topic. That is how it should be.

marc, didn't i give this suggestion to you like 5 months ago? When we were in TaL clan?

What? You were in my Clan for literally only 2 weeks. You asked; 'Can I edit the front page to add something?' I said 'No, that's not possible, only the topic holder can.' You didn't suggest it. You were new to the Forum and thought it was possible. In fact, lots of people said it, which is why I suggested it ...

And this idea would only work with close friends irl or with people you trust.

Imagine if you had an argue with a friend. People are arguing, no matter they are friends or not, whether they are gf and a bf, whether they are wife and husband etc. And before that, you gave your friend the ability to edit your posts, and he writes a heavy profanity. Next day you wake up and is banned for a month.

Like I said everyone is responsible for their own posts/words. Friends or not.

Valid

Good idea, but I doubt that the forum I.P board allows such a feature. I think it would involve creating a separate mod group with specific powers for each clan and its members.

Yeah but under the 'Edited by' thing, it would say who edited it.

+10000 this; I'm always checking up on my clan page and usually am the first to respond to applicants or other people, so I'm basically the "Forum Manager" although I don't know how I can be if I can't edit the main page since it has to be "created by" the leader and he doesn't check as often as I do.

I think ure idea is awesome but it needs a bit improvement

the creator of the topic is the original admin of that topic who can change it he can set a maximum number of 3 sub-admins that can also change the topic or edit it , maintain it , this feuture will only be availale for clan pages , parkour club pages duelist and tandem pages and specialist club pages.

Anyways, the idea is that there can be multiple owners per forum topic. This can be useful for clan topics, shared article, and topics like Tanki World Records. I'm not saying those are the only topics it can be useful for, because if those were the only ones, this updated wouldn't be to needed, there are more kinds of topics, just random ones...

How it would work:
A tanker created a topic and can add another played to edit the main post as well.

I suggest this:

In case this is accepted, there should be an option when creating topic who can edit the topic post. There you can type which players are allowed to edit the topic post. It can be edited if you forgot to do it (example: I am making a clan called Cheese and Chocolate [CnC] even though they don't go well together. And if I am away, I can go edit the topic post and type the ones who can be able to edit the topic post)

Sorry for saying topic post 4 times
