Hey all,

 

This thread is pretty old and related to a particular incident. While that incident has been resolved, I still want you to have a place where you can report problems with lag and instability. So, i'm keeping this thread open and changing the name slightly so it's more appropriate for the current scenario

 

As always, your report should contain as much detail as possible, including the nature of the issue, when and on which server it occurred, and any other details that you feel might be relevant. Remember, the more details you provide, the more you’ll be helping us resolve these issues in a timely manner.

We have been receiving a number of reports regarding issues with lag and server stability.

 

Please be advised that these issues are currently at the very top of our list of priorities, and that our programmers are working as quickly as possible to eliminate the root of the problem.

 

Those of you who have experienced these issues are kindly requested to visit the forum and report the problem in this thread.

 

Your report should contain as much detail as possible, including the nature of the issue, when and on which server it occurred, and any other details that you feel might be relevant. Remember, the more details you provide, the more you’ll be helping us resolve these issues in a timely manner.

Ok, so you want information of what's been going on?

 

This is the perfect topic to explain what's been going on with the server lags of late the past month or so?

 

Well then... here it goes!

 

Allow me to explain in full detail :)

 

(and I mean in FULL detail  ;))

We all are in the middle of a battle, a decent battle too, high fund and everything..

 

Then the next thing that happens is this:

 

It makes some weird noises (like a turret slightly turning kind of noise) then the next thing that happens that I (and I think that everyone else sees too) is that everyone is still in the battle, you can still move around and everything (like you would normally would do), but everyone else in that battle is not moving at all.. not moving their hulls at least. ( :huh:)  instead their turrets are just constantly turning and stuff.

 

Then moments after that occours, it simply just.. well.. goes off ._. and the only thing that I see then is just a black blank screen.. that's it, nothing else ._.

 

Now, the server that I find this problem happening on the most is server RU1 and sometimes server RU2 as well.. no other servers, just them two. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention EN2 sometimes has this "lag" problem as well.. but only rarely and sometimes.. but the lag problem and stuff happens mostly on RU1 + RU2.

 

It takes heaps load of refreshing to get back on the actual game, takes a good 5 minutes maxium (I think) to actually get back on the actual game and instead of putting us back into the battle that we got kicked out of to start with.. it instead loads us back into the lobby and says something like "the link of this battle is outdated" or something like that.

 

And whatever battle fund we made in that battle, (even if it's 10K+) we don't get nothing from it.. 0.. zilch :( all that time and effort into getting a decent fund like that was all for nothing.

 

This lag problem has been happening for weeks, hell.. maybe months now and it's so annoying and frustrating.

 

And I've experienced this problem many times.

 

Heck, I even experienced it 4 times yesterday alone in the space of 1 hour.. 1 hour! 3 games that I got kicked out of didn't really bother me because the fund wasn't really that high to be honest, or the game had barely started.

 

But one of the games that I unfairly got kicked out of yesterday was when I was in the middle of a very decent Courage XP/BP battle on RU1. I was on the winning team of a 16 flag limit game, the score was 8-8 and I was in 3rd place, the fund was 17K (or so) and I was only 100+ points behind the 2 people above me, so I was slowly reaching 1st place! and I'm sure we would have won, because at the start of the match, we were getting smashed 6-1.. but anyway.. that's not the point.

 

Then before I know it, the lag problem (that I explained above earlier) happened and in the end, none of us got a single crystal from the 17K+ fund ._. and I was so annoyed -____- very annoyed.

 

So yeah.. that's it. 

 

That's the "lag" problem that I've (and everyone else I think) have experienced this past month or so.

 

And the worst thing about it?

 

We haven't got a refund!

 

Not once! -.-

 

So Tanki, I plead with you.. like I've pleaded with no other game before.. if you could please.. please.. PLEASE sort out this issue ASAP, then.. well...

P.S, sometimes ping can just randomly shoot to sharpe 999 ping, (mostly when I'm in the process of slaughtering one of my enemies to pieces) then the battle just simply freezes, (turrets turning and all that rubbish) then seconds later everything returns to normal and the next thing that I know I find that I'm just respawning :mellow:

Thank you. The problem is very prevalent, especially in the RU servers, where most of the high rank players flock to. It's been facing a lot of crashes and lost funds lately, most of us are getting sick of it. Glad to see it's officially getting some attention!

 

Edit: I also happen to notice that, regardless of which server I play on, number of fatal errors and "connection closed" during loading has gone up. I also notice that FPS spikes are more common (but that's probably just my own machine :ph34r: ). Spinning tanks are getting as common as they were in 2012, which is obviously not good. Hopefully devs are able to alleviate the problem somehow.

not only lags, also the XP server RU1 shut down many times in last month and then some people make XP games in RU2

a lot of the lag is caused by the overloading of the servers (e.g RU1 2 and 3 ) being overloaded by XP/BP battles and XP/BP tankers

You're playing without any lag then suddenly blank page appears; you refresh and it say

Server is unavailable.

 

Lost many rewards because of this bug/issue :/ and tanki don't care about it....

It mainly Happens in RU1 When you join a match you get awesome Pings. But slowly the ping raises, and all of a sudden it goes to 999 and get's stuck over there makes you refresh comes hack to normal. and then it repeats. At times you are kicked from battles losing score but not all players lose their score maybe 1-2 still persue it somehow. then it just keeps repeating itself like BIG LONG PING spikes. even though when ping is extremely good everything lags.

So, most importantly, if you can't fix the damn server, GIVE PLAYERS COMPENSATION! I lost 20-30k because of this issue, and it ain't that fun. I emailed tanki with all the pictures, details, all they said is

Server RU1 keeps crashing and saying under maintenance which ruins important battles with a high fund or goldbox falling etc.

This lag problem is persistent in full servers such as RU1 and RU2. Suddenly amidst the game, everyone (almost all) get 999 ping and then we are thrown out of the battle. When we try to refresh, we are told that the server is UNDER MAINTENANCE when it is actually FULLY FUNCTIONAL. When we log in back later (about 5 minutes), all the people note the same problem at the same time. I dont understand why this happens. Along with this, Idk why but on some specific random days, the whole day, I have 999 ping ONLY DURING THE GOLD BOX DROPPING. Ping is fine until the notification and even until it starts dropping. As soon as it appears though... BAM.... 999 ping, annoying lag. I miss every gold box like this. As soon as the gold box is gone, within seconds, ping is restored back to normal.

 

Please look into this as my initiative to play this game is slowly moving to its grave...

THe lags are tremendously stressful when trying to play tanki and the de syncs are very annoying and last for a long time tanks just sit ther with their turrents tuning around and around for a very long time with no benefical game play

No matter what server is played on the lag issue is a major problem. I have tried to shrink the screen to eliminate them but then the screen is too small to enjoy. Please fix! Thanks

Our customer service had to stop refunding lost crystals. This was done to to a huge growth in the number of fake reports on lost funds. We are currently looking into the issue, doing our best to solve it. In the meantime, follow the advice and play shorter battles. I know it's a workaround, but it's the best thing you can do atm.
