Speakers problem

This problem is not related to Tanki, please close this topic if it's wrong to post this here.

 

So basically, I bought a new laptop yesterday, and the speakers are not working properly. I mean, they work fine but when I plug in my headset into the audio jack, sound plays from both the speakers and the headphones.

It is kinda annoying because it kills the main purpose of using headphones. When I plug in the headset in the audio jack, a notification saying "You just plugged a device into the audio jack" appears. When I open playback devices, my headphones don't appear. 

 

I tried several ways to fix this but they just don't seem to work....

I want only the headphones to play sound when it is plugged in. I know there are quite a lot of computer/technology geeks here...so...please help me out :)

Install all up to date drivers for your sound card.

All audio tracks work but the sound comes through both the speakers and the headphones

Wooo problem solved

i uninstalled and reinstalled my audio drivers and voila the sound glitch is gone
