Or that guy is very skilled in cutting wood. I understand your frustration, but being negative about other peoples entries is not quite the solution. And it also makes you look bad. You should stop the negativity and enjoy what other tankers made. 

wake up you can buy 3D puzzles just like his ... but i'm not complaining more about his due to there is no difference from others who used kits or even Lego ..to me Art is a idea with many medians that you can use anything from nature to store bought items ..but to me it has to be made from your imagination not kits ..if kits are allowed then they should be all judged in there own section each one should have been grouped then judged ..for example all the kits in one group all Lego / clay and other / wood / food / and so on to be fair for all cause you can't use a kit against someone who took lots of time making it from scratch to get the same results ..this is so wrong on so many levels

It's a fun contest. Those who participated just to win missed the fun. Those who participated to have fun crafting a tank, enjoyed the whole deal. Not everyone can win, it's an inevitable fact.

look the fun making it was there.. but when you get players who photo shop from Tanki or even wall paper shoots / or even lack of craft compared to others and yea i have seen some who deserved winning something and got nothing ..this is why we are huffy about and some are up set cause of how the wording was in the contest they expected to get crystals ...so you need to take a step back and re look at it  from a players eyes  ..

 

 That was probably very tough to choose the winners. in my opinion (KAKTYC11) should have won.

Like you, the other 64999 players also think their entry was most certainly recognizable. As any basic contest, only worthy entries get the top places.

 

Other than the top 3 places, Tanki awarded more than what they promised. They gave us consolation prize which was never a part of the original plan.

What kit are you speaking of? Kit for creating a replica of a tank from Tanki Online?

 

As Cedric said, he voted for the food-entries. When I read that, the first thing which popped in my mind is that they judged the entries based upon materials as well. You can see how the entries differ in materials... from wood to metal, food to wool. They've added it all to the winners list. Probabaly chose the best entries of the categories of materials used.

They didn't promise the consolation prize at all. They actually gave us the consolation prize as a gift.

Fat chance of seeing us on the battle field.

I have 130000crys atm would only start playing if i had enough for tornado. Looks like tanki will be an option for future. Though i have an unclaimed mission which allows me premium 3 hours. Most probabily will get me tornado, but i dont think i am rdy for tanki gameplay just yet, not after this. Will take me a month at least, will give it a try in summers though my tongue will always be burnt

First of all, those of you who didn't win, or who didn't place as highly as you would have wished, I understand your disappointment, especially when it took you so much work to create your tank.

 

However, I need you to understand something important.

 

There were 6 people voting, and not everyone had the same opinion of what made a good entry. Ultimately, we took the average of every vote for every piece of work and decided accordingly. For instance, I'm a huge foodie, so I really loved the food-related entries. But the other judges didn't share my opinion.

 

Ultimately, it is a SUBJECTIVE judgement. Art is subjective matter. If you have any doubts about that, you can spend a couple of minutes finding out how a canvas covered in blue paint with a strip of white running through, can sell for $43 million. Read that again. No, I'm not trying to ridicule your claim. Not at all. I am a musician and I've taken part in many contests where I felt our band deserved at least a modicum of recognition, but had to swallow my pride and leave empty-handed. It hurts like hell.

 

But the way I see it, I make music because I love music FIRST, and because I want recognition and accolades SECOND (and I'm not even sure they even rank that high in my list of priorities). So even though it leaves a bitter taste when my band doesn't win, at least I'm consoled by the fact that I'm doing something I love.

 

My question to you is, did you enjoy making your tank? Because if you did, that is at least a little reward in itself. There's also the satisfaction of looking at your creation and thinking, "Hey, I did that on my own, and it's unique in the world, and I had a great time making it".

 

But if you hated every minute of making your tank, and you only entered the contest for the crystals and rewards, then I think you might want to rethink you priorities a little bit. Not saying you should; it's just a suggestion.

 

As for other issues mentioned in this thread, I'll try to handle as much as I can. At this point in time, I still haven't had the time to look through all 40 pages of posts. The reason is that I'm working 12 to 14 hours a day trying to wrap my head around what needs to be done to make a great community. And this being my first week as lead CM, I've barely just scratched the surface.

 

Thankfully, I'm surrounded by some great people whom I can trust completely, and they do ease quite a bit off my shoulders.

 

Once again, I'm sorry some of you are disappointed with the results in this contest. We created this contest in good faith, wanting to give you a really good time. But as in everything in life, you can never please everybody. That said, I know quite a bit of you had a good time (even some of those who didn't win). So that at least gives me some satisfaction.

 

All I can say is, we'll try even harder next time.

Quick update,

 

I have contacted all (except two) of the runners-up in the non-RU community (those are being dealt with by the RU CM) via pm to ask them whether they want the hull OR the turret they created. Two of the runners-up couldn't be contacted via pm because their names weren't coming up in the om field. I'll be looking for ways to contact them to find their preference.

 regardless the damage is done again ..you have lost respect when these contests are to be held in the future along with girls vs girls in battles we all know they cheat i battle with them all the time and i know there secrets..

III_MrHilarious_IIl we hear u and this is why were complaining there was so many others who deserve to win..and when you see players photo shopping wall papers or pictures from other real honest hard working strangers how can those players live with themselves on cheating ..i know its a dog eat dog world out there but come on have some respect for others..and it even stated in the rules that they wanted photo's of there entry's to prove it was there's and yet they did not send in ..( video would even help ) and then they win something is so wrong ..

and will we see the problem solved with the Russian players i'm not holding my breath ..i feel this was filed under G all ready .
