DoS can't access Skype. And it appears we're not willing to populate Discord too. skype is better ok

 

But yes, we need Discord too. I have other ideas for letting DoS access skype (a new Skype account perhaps, DoS?). But yes, no more skype. Also someone fix that application form thing quick - I'm gonna make one. I'll edit this post when I have it ready!

Basically, this is for everyone who's getting ticked off (righteously, I might add) that their application has gotten no response:

 

TL;DR, a couple forms got mixed up. We're making a new one that every leader has access to, and that may or may not require sending the app form again, using this new one. Sorry about that, we honestly don't blame you if you find this a nuisance.

Ground Zeroes are better than Spectres (and First Strike Capabilities). You'll learn that the hard way.

Okay, so we're talking about BTD5, and which is better: Spectre, Ground Zero, or First Strike Capability. Background info: In BTD5, Ground Zero does 350 damage to everything on screen. Before health ramping kicks in, post-round 85, Ground Zero can and will kill all Bloons, MOABs, and some very damaged BFBs. (in the fourth stage of damage, where it has a ton of holes) to put that in perspective, it takes 13 to 15 Ground Zeroes to completely destroy a ZOMG and all its children.

 

A Spectre can pretty much kill almost all MOABs with proper positioning. It can also take down a handful (<5) grouped BFBs, before they run through. With -20% ability cooldown from thwe Monkey Lab, plus the -20% ability cooldown from a 4-2 village (-36%, since the percentages don't stack) a single Ground Zero can kill any amount of full-health BFBs with 3 hits, if no other towers are placed. Against Bloons, it can kill infinite numbers of them...until the ability is on cool down. Then, all of the Bloons above Rainbow will sneak through. Even if it's 2-4, it won't kill enough Ceramics to keep you alive. If you sell and re-buy the ability, you still will eventually run out of money, unless you have tons of farms, at which point you could just spam Apache Dartships or Ray of Dooms instead. In other words, a Ground Zero could never be the backbone of a defense, unless you have ridiculous amounts of money.

 

A single Spectre doesn't have cooldowns. Spectres don't miss, if positioned properly. One Spectre can kill a practically infinite amount of regrow ceramics (otherwise known as round 76), and it can completely handle Mastery Mode round 76 AND round 63, which is basically the exact same amount and groupings of MOABS. A Spectre has slightly more trouble against spaced BFBs, but can still completely pop grouped BFBs. Against tons of grouped MOABs or BFBs, I would personally use both, since Ace is one of my favorite towers. Against ZOMGs, however, it's a completely different story. A Spectre can't quite kill a ZOMG, but nor can a G0. If both 4-2/2-4 towers get a 4-2 Apache Dartship on Pursuit to help, the G0 will let very few Bloons through, while a Spectre will let none through. Of course, this could be due to bad ability timing, or the differences in the Apache's Pursuit AI.But, the Ground Zero doesn't always kill every bloon on screen. It might be a glitch, but it will usually leave some of the last few Bloons undamaged.

 

First Strike Capability is the first and only ability that will reliably and completely destroy a single ZOMG. It will also damage some surrounding BFBs and pop other ZOMG layers, but not as reliably. I think that this ability is more in the category of the MOAB Assassin and Monkey Pirates than G0 and Bloon Annihilation, since it is more for single targets than multiple ones.

 

In the end, I tend to use Ground Zero for large amounts (>50) of MOABs, a Spectre or two against BFBs, and First Strike Capability against ZOMGs. If I could have only one, I would definitely choose Spectre, since it is more reliable against all types of Bloons, and better as a single tower.

To all those who have been trying to apply for Happy Dragons, I am most likely certain that you could not apply because there was no proper link to submit application to. The truth is, a form was already ready, however, some mults forgot to put it up, and therefore, the application section was left empty. With the approval of ALMOST all the cresteds and talons (DoS is now leader, but he has not come online on skype, so I couldn't take his approval), the application is now ready! Best part, you can't troll it so easily :P
