Welcome to Tanki World Records.

- x -

Guys, I was thinking maybe we should do a group/public record soon. We could discuss the time and date under this post. At the decided date, the community could gather and try to beat some interesting records.

We can coordinate with Admins and Moderators to get their attention too.

Let's see some of the records:

Most members online in the forum:

The current record is 224. What do you day that on a specified date, 500 of us can gather around on the forum and break that record?

Most Staff members online in the forum:

The current record is 16. Staff!? Ten-hut!

Most users online on the forum:

OK, this will be a little hard to beat. But we can try to gather at least 700 people and break the previous record of 641.

Most users online in the forum (No Staff):

The current record is 98. Let's give the good, hard-working guys a day off, shall we?

Largest Pile-up:

The largest pileup ever was help in Esplanade, where an impressive 24 Vikings stood on top of each other. Reckon we can do better in skyscrapers?

Longest Line-up:

The current record is 37. We can achieve a total of 40 in a Dusseldorf DM.

Up for the job? Discuss below.

Let's do it. I mean it's better for the community to share, to get together. We could tell Cedric about this too.

You can forget about these. The only time a lot of people gather on the forum is when something really big actually happens. Like an update everyone hates (so lots of people log in to post hateful comments :D) or when there is some really important info on the forum, such as tournament rules.

We might be able to do the staff one, but again - I doubt it.

I like the idea of beating other group records. You can even maybe come up with some new interesting ones that could be added. But if you think this will be easy - you are very mistaken. The 24 tank tower (and yes, it's 24 and not 27) was the winning submission for the official Tanki Tower contest. The only way you can beat it is if you build it on an even bigger map (Skyscrapers only fits 20) and have a VERY good team with you, most of whom are able to talk in a voice conference, or at least listen. Trust me - I tried the Tanki Tower and it's really difficult.

I'm pretty sure that the 40 tank line-up has been achieved multiple times, mostly by players wanting to do a rank-up with railgun by killing 39 tanks with one shot. I'll add the record if I find a video of that.

@MAFIOS0, hmm. We could try to make some new records. I'll think of some and see if they fit in the requirements. And no worries, I have a good team on stand-by if we wanna do that Tanki Tower thing ;)

@thunderousrailgunner, no worries. I have hosted a lot things like this in other games as well :)

By the way , I Have an idea about tanki tower ...

To do this method is a nightmare .. but if we do it .. we can have a pile of 40 tanks !!

The plan is to have pairs of tanks .. i.e , A Tower that consists of 2 tanks ..

That way , we have 20 small towers ..

Then , all small towers get added up and make the biggest tower .. i mean 2 tanks climb another 2 tanks .. these 4 tanks get on top of a small tower .. then these 6 tanks get on top of another small tower .. like that ..

P.S I am sure you hadn't understood the last one

Fixed the line-up video record. For some reason the link was disappearing instead of being turned into a watchable video.

Easier said than done. Moving a tower as high as 8 tanks is already nearly impossible due to the fact that you can't control the acceleration of your tank. The only way to move slowly is by lightly tapping the keys, but if you do that, then the jerking of your tank will amplify up to the top of the tower and the higher tanks will find it extremely difficult to hold on.

Not to mention lags, which can cause tanks to randomly teleport inside the tower, causing the whole thing to collapse. That's why the 24 tank pile-up was done in Esplanade - it was the only map, which allowed players to press themselves up against a corner for stability. You won't find a high enough corner on any other map.

Dusseldorf can hold 40 right? Bet we can do it.

People who are interested to be in the Longest Line-up group record, send me a friend request. (Sending a Tanker badge saying 'I'd like to be in the Longest Line-up group record' would be more efficient due to the long friends list of mine).

Date and time to be decided.

Stay tuned.

Not anymore. We now have an Archive section, so it will probably be moved to there.

I have a record for you guys to beat

Highest battle fund (might be hard though)

Nah, the only way to do that is if you create a battle on a large map (Dusseldorf) and get people to play on it all day. 999 flags, 40 people.

Since nothing was posted here on 1st of May and OP apparently abandoned the idea, I'll close the topic now. Unfortunately this isn't the kind of thing that will work well in our community since we don't have enough people to randomly be interested in an event like this. Please keep all discussion about records in the main Tanki World Records topic.

Closed.
