Hey all. I'm still having some problems with the forum. I can post, but I can't QUOTE replies, which makes it hard to keep track of which questions I've answered. And since the whole point of this thread is to answer your questions, I'm gonna lock this thread for now so the questions don't keep piling up.

1. Why will no one tell us when the lag will be fixed. Are people actually working on the lag. Why has the lag been bad since before Christmas?

 

2. Are people actually working on an anti-cheat system or is this just future stuff?

4. Why were paints and protections divided? What was the business purpose of that?

1. Because there's no definite date. Devs are working on it and we've invested in solutions that should make the situation better.
2. Yes they are, but it's not simple. Lag results not just from the game. It could be a combination of your computer's specs and your internet connection. Those are two things we'll never be able to solve, because you're the one who controls them.
3. The kick system is a double-edged sword. We believe the matchmaking system (and something else we're working on that you'll find out about in this week's V-LOG) will actually solve multing and sabotage problems a lot better than kicking will ever do.
4. The primary idea was to allow players to combine their preferred combination of protections with whatever paint they wanted. Of course there is a business aspect in selling aesthetic, non-gameplay-affecting elements, just like any other game does. Remember, this is also a business, and it depends on monetary income to keep supporting the game. No money, no Tanki Online.

 

First of all, thank you for this opportunity to ask you questions. I am now more firm than ever in my belief that the EN community is in safe hands :D

 

My question:

As someone who has lots of schoolwork to do pretty much 24/7, I literally have no time to take part in eSports, because I couldn't keep up with the training. However, I really enjoy watching others who do have the time take part in tournaments, and for many of them I am disappointed when I find that only the main battles or even none will be available for non-participators to watch. Would it be a possibility in the future for all matches to be broad casted for non-participators to watch? Because I would be very grateful for this, it would be a chance for me and others to actually get involved more. However, I know that you are already planning a lot for the community, so I am only asking if you could maybe consider this for the future when you aren't so busy

 

That really depends on the number of helpers we have. Remember, most helpers are students just like yourself, so it's very hard for them to be always available. I'd love to fulfill your wish for this, but at this point in time, I doubt I can.

I'm afraid none of these are planned for the near future. But this week's V-LOG talks about some pretty exciting upcoming changes.

1) i also would like to have it be able to be shipped to other country's seeing they wont ship to Canada .. this should be easy to do if shipped with pay pal and willing to pay extra for shipping...

what players have asked me in the past is how many departments and how many employees in each one .. that work for tanki .. this might help players understand why some of these things are not done faster then in other company's... i hope you understand what i just said..
