Supremacy Part 1

Undisclosed Location, London, United Kingdom. 7th January 2017.

 

T'was a bright, sunny yet cold January day, and the Stallinton siblings were playing Tanker with friends at their technologically advanced house.

 

"Fire, now! We need the flag back!" Peter, the elder brother ordered. The sister, Victoria, immediately shot, and finished the tank. But, when she proceeded to return the flag, it wouldn't.

 

"I can't return. This is probably a malfunction. We need to stop the game!" she shouted, making herself clear. "I'll need to check. Victoria, come with me," Peter said, and they walked to the computers room. 

 

"It doesn't show a malfunction. All clear," Peter said, and immediately looked at his younger sister, horrified. "We've been hacked. Which means we'll need to hunt our hacker down," he continued. "We got to separate. Call in the others," Victoria told. They began a manhunt for the person. Victoria had barely moved when the lights of the computers room shut. She ignored it, believing it a prank, but then stopped dead.

 

She noticed a gun, and a figure holding it. The darkness hid the face, and she couldn't easily react. But she did, and knocked the gun out. Holding it in her hands, she pointed it forward, but there was nothing. The figure had fled. 

 

She walked out, horrified, and told them of the assassination attempt. "Uh oh. Our hacker tried to assassinate you, then fled. Means we can't catch him," Stephen Stallinton, the younger brother and middle sibling, said. 

 

"We can check the camera footage. Unless our hacker managed to disable that too," Peter said, but immediately realized his fears were right. The camera footage was destroyed. 

 

"We must examine the computers room. There may be clues hidden there," John Richards, a friend, said. The Stallinton siblings went in again, and checked for clues. 

 

"Wait. A camera hidden inside the room? Check if it's not disabled," It wasn't. They checked the camera footage, and were surprised - to say the least. "A police protocol droid? That means our target, who owns this bot, is a traitor within the police. Or he stole the droid. Check the name," Steve said. 

 

They checked the name of the droid - Hunter IV, owned by US Army Colonel Thomas Tanner. "Trace this Thomas Tanner," Peter told. They traced the person - to an airport. "Time to get back in action, guys. We need to hunt this person," he continued. 

 

They quickly got to the airport and into the aircraft with the suspects. "You're under arrest, Colonel Thomas Tanner, for an assassination attempt on Victoria Stallinton," Peter, along with policemen, came in and said.

Not a bad start! Perhaps slow it down a little to add more depth, but it is still a pretty good story!
