Tanki Talk Time: An Interview with Snipe3000

 

I walk into a small garage where a Hornet M3 and Smoky M2 rests in the slanting sunbeams from the wall grates. A man rests on the floor polishing the steel shell of the tank. I saunter up and tap him on the back, jolting him out of his routine. “Hey. I’m Blackdrakon30 from the AWC. We would like to ask you a few questions." ”Sure,” he replied nonchalantly. “Ask away.” I ready my clipboard that is falling apart with the number of brainstormed question lists attached to it, on recommendation of Night-Sisters. It had already fallen apart twice on the way here. “Alright, question number one….”

 

Blackdrakon30: Would you like to introduce yourself, tell us a bit about you and who you are?

 

snipe3000: My name is snipe3000. I joined tanki with an account named snipe2900 on Miniclip. I later lost that account because I could not find the link to Miniclip Tanki. Then I made this account named snipe3000.

Besides TO, I play soccer and basketball.

 

 

Blackdrakon30: Interesting. So, what brought you into the midst of the AWC?

 

snipe3000: After I found the reporter's spot I later decided to make some writings in case I ever wanted to join the actual reporters. When GoldRock masterminded the AWC I decided to post one of my writings in their section.  "" Little did I know that I was going to receive a PM inviting me to the club. 

I joined because I did not feel ready to join the actual reporters but was dying to write.

 

 

Blackdrakon30: Making articles to become a mult reporter, a respectable way to become introduced. When and how did you find out about the Tanki game and newspaper?

 

snipe3000: Once I joined the forum after about 7 months of Tanki, I saw the reporter position. Because I frequently reported people, I thought it was for in-game violations. When I saw it was for writing I took one glance and left. Later, I found my writing abilities getting better because I entered contests and I went back to see what the requirements were. I felt like I did not have enough time to join the reporters.  

 

 

Blackdrakon30: You never know, maybe Night-Sisters, Goldrock and the rest get their weekend entertainment  while eating popcorn and reporting people.   :ph34r: So I see that you care very much for your tank, as you were maintaining its lustre as I entered. What is your favorite turret and hull combination and why?

 

snipe3000: Seeing as how you saw me pouring my heart out on my Hornet and Smoky…

But yeah, my favorite combination would be Hornet and Smoky. It allows me to be fast and attack faster.

 

 

Blackdrakon30: I prefer things to be more Sonic fast, but I can respect your decision.   :P  It sounds like an excellent choice. Speaking of impressiveness, you have quite the unique writing style. How would you describe your writing methods and style?

 

snipe3000: ​I usually take a previous idea, maybe from school, and start writing it. My "Argumentative Essay" was made in school. I then added a section and posted it on the forum. I like spawning a story off of a certain topic.

 

 

Blackdrakon30: You sound like a very educated person. Perhaps there will be an essay contest in order to test your mettle on the inspirations. I know that I like to draw inspiration off of stories; hence, the next question - what’s your favorite book or book series? Is there any particular author you admire?

 

snipe3000: My favorite author would have to be Mike Lupica. While I only have three of his books, I have loved all of them.

 

 

Blackdrakon30: While we are on the topic of things that you admire, what is your favorite Tanki map overall? 

 

snipe3000: ​My favorite map… hmm… that would have to be Polygon. During the 5x gold event I got 21 gold boxes on Polygon. 

 

 

Blackdrakon30: Wow, 21 golds is quite the catch.   :D  Any tanker would dream of getting the golden opportunity to grab that many. Anything else you would like to say about yourself? Possibly future things you plan on writing, goals, or advice?

 

snipe3000: I am not really sure what I should write about next. I am very open to suggestions from people.

“Anytime.”

 

 

 

I collect my fallen papers and wad them into my pockets. With a hurried exit, I leave to write stories inspired by Snipe3000’s awesomeness.

 

*About 5 seconds later*
