i also just remembered that this week in the UK was a short week they had a bank holiday back on Monday ..so this maybe why they decided not to put one together ..with all the work from this game and then piled on top the v-log .. it would not be as good as the quality there doing now.. so i agree not putting one together for this week ..

Hey all,

For those players who are asking about episode 95 of the V-log, the developers have already informed us that we won't have the episode during this week so that players can focus on the 'THE GAME' quest. Because of this, we unfortunately won't have a new episode for this week, but hopefully on next Friday, they'll post both episode 95 and a lot of exciting news.

Please be patient with us, as we, along with our developers, have told you why we are not having a new episode this week.

Thanks for understanding!

LOLOL focus? How will it desrupt us from THE GAME when the vlog comes out on friday (the last day), and 5 hours after the start of the last day. #Excuses

Actually, @DonCarnage is right. There's been a lot going on this week and the previous one, so we didn't want to add another layer.

On top of that, here's a little "behind the scenes" — setting stuff up for THE GAME, including writing announcements and programming them on the various platforms that we have, is a pretty involving task.

Just to give you an idea, we post announcement on the homepage, forum, facebook, Twitter, and in-game notifications. Here's how that works:

Each platform is on a different system, and requires a different variant of the announcement. Homepage and Forum are usually nearly identical. Facebook and in-game are similar to each other, but in-game needs to have a piece of HTML code inserted to make the link work. Twitter calls for a much shorter announcement due to restrictions.

Additionally, each of the platforms uses a completely different image size.

But then there's the REAL headache... the time zones.

  • Homepage is in UTC
  • Forum is in UTC
  • Facebook is in whatever time zone you're in
  • In-Game is in MSK time (UTC+3)
  • For Twitter we use a scheduling system that's in UTC+2

With all these time zones, it's super easy to make a mistake, so we double check everything many many times, and even then, we STILL sometimes make mistakes. To add insult to injury, not all of the above platforms can be programmed. So sometimes we need to sit in the computer and wait for the exact second to press the "Publish" button, as was the case with THE GAME.

It's not difficult as such, just VERY time consuming, and sometimes VERY frustrating. Yesterday morning, I scheduled all of the posts for the TOF Dream Team tournament. It took me nearly half a day to program everything and make sure is in its proper place. By the end of the session, my brain felt like jelly.

On top of that, the V-LOG is one of those things that eats up a lot of time too. So we decided to skip the V-LOG even for the sake of our own sanity.

hay 95 v-log :/

I guess it was postponed until the next week due to THE GAME and TO Birthday celebrations. The developers sometimes do a break when there are celebrations. Just keep patient and wait for the next V-LOG :)

There are quite a few people working at AP. But they all have their specific tasks, and this is my job  :)

AlternativaPlatform has a team of more than 80 people in Perm. But how many people are on the team in Malta? Only @Cedric Debono?

would kits still exist after the paint update ?!!?! I mean the kits include paint with them so what will happen would you just get rid of the paint aspect from kits or keep it? or are you getting rid of kits altogether

I'm sure that kits will still exist, but I think that the paints included with them will be replaced with the new Protection Modules, since paints will be cheap and cosmetic after the update and the protection is what people are looking for in kits. Or they might still include paints in them for the looks, who knows.
