Also there's like different kinds of love 

People will say they love cheese, but obviously they don't love cheese like they love their partners or their siblings or parents or dogs etc.

Disadvantages:

1. They don't have a real personality

2. They aren't alive

3. They don't love you back

 

People are imperfect - that's what makes them human. Love is about seeing past those flaws. A robot could try to be human, but in the end, they really aren't. Robots are just pieces of metal. They're not alive.

 

Although it could be possible to fall in love with a robot - people have a habit of anthropomorphizing things. 

 

 

 

yes and such things as swimming or anything that has to do with water is a little difficult. But about that robots not loving us back thing, we could programme them to love or something  :lol:

On the robot thing, it is very metaphysical. When is something considered autonomous, and when is it considered "Alive"? Looking at Cleverbot, which is one of the closet things we have to a A.I, it became very much like the people it talked to.( Drunk, rambling and swearing.) So, in theory, one could fall in love with anything.
