lukey0_Mr.Gloldie, you used a lot of the concepts from my post here... Maybe (* hence maybe*) too many.  Check page 4 anyone if you want to compare.

I read both of them. I don't find anything considerable

It was a cool Sunday evening. I sat in my dad’s office “working” on my book report, though I had planned to purchase the coveted M2 Railgun. I had been waiting for this moment for more than a year (though I barely knew it). I would finally be able to play XP/BP, a mode that I well respected.

I logged on secretly, bought M2 Railgun, and had a small celebration.

There was only one problem: I had a DM mission.

“Ugh, stupid DM mission. And there’s only a Kungur DM,” I thought after the server update. I was hoping to get a handful of experience before I would possibly get caught, so I just joined the Kungur battle in hope of the M2 Railgun being of any use. "But M2 Railgun already has a good use" I DIDN'T KNOW AT THE TIME OK?!?!

Anyway, about 20 minutes after getting stuck in that Kungur DM, the familiar orange text flashed onto my screen.  "Gold box will be dropped soon" forced my heartbeat to pound twice as fast as it did before (stupid boring Kungur DM =_=). “I hope this comes to good use,” I mumbled.

What's this? ANOTHER GOLD?!?! wait noo never mind I activated my Double Armor right immediately and frenetically searched the map (boring Kungur -,-) and found the drop zone by what would have been the infamous point E in CP mode. Equipping my Speed Boost, the gold started to drop, but it was too late.

     NOPE.

I burst my final Railgun shot at the M2 Viking jumping at the gold. And what happened, you ask?

     He flipped.

At this moment my mind went crazy and in shock.

Of course, however, the typical M1 Major was right next to me.

Dashing towards the gold, I held that forward key as hard as I could. (Never thought I would say that ._.)

“It’s just you and me,” I thought.

Our Hornets clashed back and forth for the 2-Dictator length to the gold. Slightly I got ahead of the useless M1, but I doubted that this gold was mine.

I blinked in excitement. The health bar warned me of death. “It’s just a gold, don’t worry Brandon.”

JUST A GOLD?!?! IT WAS NOT JUST A GOLD!

It was a gold that I caught.

     "Wait, what?!?!"

     Yep.

The adventure of Tanki brought me away from the drop zone; however, when I looked up:

NinBrandon888 has taken the gold box

"YAYAYAYYAYAAYAYAYYAYA" is a great representation of my feelings after getting that gold.

Those two events weren't the only achievements that day. I had caught a gold in Polygon on the island where no one had dared to look (LOL nubs all went to other side axaxax hy6). To top it off, the next morning, I stole a gold from a helpless M1 Viking in Arena CP. Yes, amazingly I caught 3 golds and bought M2 Railgun in a 12-hour span.

I guess you could say I'm a good gold catcher.

(Please don't actually believe that .-.)

About 500 words. If I receive any awards, please polish it as you please.

                                                        Good Times

Now I ain't yur regular, "Run O' the mill" gold-hunter. In fact, I ain't a gold-hunter a'tall, but I reckoned my ol' story was worth mentionin. Twas back back in the winter of '14, I was just a youngster, but at the time I was top O' my game, mighty proud of my new Hornet n' Isida M2 . . .

[Wind howls, snow swirls by :New Scene]   (Flashback)

"Wow, Isida M2 is OP!" I say to my friend Abdo, as we fight for our lives to hold the icy cave in Polygon Deathmatch. He is using his favorite combo, Rico-Mammoth M1, and we are allied, companions even in the bloody free-for-all where most abandon their friendships to gain the top "Gladiator" position.

Soon angry cries of "Clear the tunnel!" were heard, and our enemies began to swarm us, trying to break our hold over the game. Before we can be overwhelmed, the siren that once warned of incoming air-raids blasts through the map. Twice.

A few seconds of silence follow, before the chat is flooded with the shocked tankers expressing their surprise and disbelief. Two golds at once didn't happen, it wasn't supposed to happen, yet here it was.

I rush out of the cave, hoping to find at least one of the zones, and see Abdo lumbering out as well. We didn't have to go far, because just outside the center square of Polygon, the two drop zones lay, a few meters apart. I quickly dash back inside the cave, fearing I would be killed by the eager gold mongers. Sadly, as I turn back, I see my friend Abdo, slowly trying to get to safety with me. Too slowly, and he is destroyed before my eyes.

The two boxes come into view, I see Abdo's chat pop up saying only, "Its up to you". I make a great leap from the cave, perfectly timing it so I would land on a Titan's back as he charged for the gold. But me hopes were smashed when as I jumped, a stray railgun shot smashed into my hull, flipping me. Like a turtle flipped on its shell, I was helpless, but managed to stay on the titan's back somehow.

The crowd of what seemed like hundred of tanks surged together, along with my unknowing helper. I was hurled atop the crowd, sliding on my back, catching not one, but both golds. Angry tankers pounded on me with all their might, demolishing me, but I only smile as I read Abdo's new text, "U got one for me :} ".

[Wind howls, snow swirls by :New Scene]  (Present Time)

Yep, twas a great day. Kids these days got "The goldbox supply" *hmph* Back in my day catchin golds was not only a great sport, but a tough one, and only the tough got 'em.

True story (obviously dramatized)

P.S. Yeah, I pretend gold catching was tough back in 2014, its just a joke, I dont need any "older" tankers lecturing me on how it was so tough "back in my day" :D

Once upon a time in September 2016, I was in my house. I was playing a battle in Polygon CP XP/BP. My team had activated nitrous and we were boosting towards the victory. Everything was nice and peaceful. It was a quiet environment at home as there was none except me :) . I was playing and playing. It was a rainy day. A cup of hot tea was at my Computer Table. It was as if I was in heaven. Moreover, it was the 4th of September and very few of you guys know, it's my birthday. I was on my headphones listening to calm and soft music. Suddenly, or maybe I can say co incidently, the music stopped. What was that? I went on to change the music and suddenly I heard the Ambulance. Wait, who's injured..Wait..I'm on ma headphones...Wait..I checked my screen and....IT'S A GOLDIE!!!! In an OMG moment, I broke pressed the "Delete" key and self destructed.

There were about 16-17 seconds remaining. I had no idea of the drop zone as I couldn't see it while I self destructed. Nor was it there near to my spawn. I followed the crowd.

13..

12..

11..

10..and the countdown began...

I went I moved..moved..MOOVEEDD... Then I saw that diamond..Gold..falling. It seemed as if it was falling as slow as it could. It felt that it had really stopped for me. I rushed in the crowd..Suddenly I saw something white. It was nothing but a shot of Railgun XT which shot 4 tanks in a row and it cleared my way. The thing was intense..There were 10 tanks crowding for one thing. I just got in to the zone. People pray god, I prayed to gold. "PLEASE TOUCH ME". It came down in speed of a snail..coming..coming....It came down, close to me, as close as an inch. It touched a tank. I was shocked. I didn't know what to say. But it was me!!! Yes, it was me. 1 k crystals were mine!!!! 5 people said congo, 3 said "Noob mult get lost kid..bla bla blaaa"

All that mattered to me was, I had the goldie! :D

Thanks for reading.

Dramatic Gold by Wolfie (me)!

It was around 1 PM by my time, the school classes just ended and the ''School Gamers'' team went to the School's PC Room. I was bored after playing for 30 minutes in the Polygon CP XP/BP battle. While capturing the point, I was staying on one of the ramps with my Wasp M3 and one guy found the right way to flip me in the tunnel. I raged! I was about to leave, when saw the siren ''Gold box will be dropped soon''. I shouted ''GOLD BOX'' and turned on the recorder. My friend Kristian jumped and told: ''Go Boris, you can take it!'' I fastly respawned near the 2 houses in the middle and turned backwards to search for the drop zone. My heart was beating so fast such as everytime when I hear the siren. I was near the drop zone of the Repair Kit when decided to press ''Page Down'' and look around the sky for the parachute with the 1000 crystals award box. It beacme to drop! My friend told: ''There! Go there and get it!''. I pressed the Arrow Key, with the feeling that I am far away and my chances are really small as the enemy team could flip me easily as they were doing while the whole game. While driving near the ''A'' point, a guy came from the tunnel and stand in front of my tank. Decided to shoot him with the hope that the lag may come and I will drive at the top of all... And here we go: Shooting wrong, my tank turns on 90 degrees, and sweeping on the ground under the drop zone. In this moment, an incoming teammate and enemy tank from my backwards shoots me and my tank flips again on 90 degrees but this time with tracks upper to the gold. Invisible to the naked eye, my Wasp touches the gold and then I see: ''wolfenstein007 has taken the gold box''. That feeling cannot be explained with words!

Thanks for reading guys! If you like that story, give an upvote and tell me if I have a chance to become a Tanki Online Newspaper Helper after sending application! Good luck to all participants! :D

                                                             Golden Madness

Although the following event is completely true (though evidently dramatized), it happened on an alt account about 2 weeks ago. I verified this with Night-Sisters, and she gave me the all-clear to write it (The golds I've taken on this account have been 4v4 average jump takes :P).

                                                             Golden Madness  (698/700 Words)

"Yesss!" exclaims my friend Blast on the in-game chat. "Mission complete! 1 gold supply ready to be dropped!" His Wasp does a victory roll off the Sherpurov bridge in triumph. I smile at his antics, a surge of relief coursing through me as I realize my job is complete, we'd worked hard for this mission for the last thirty minutes. I knew though, with a stab of annoyance, I'd have basically zero% chance of catching it if Blast dropped it in a regular battle, so poor were my gold catching skills. I was still haunted by memories of the day before, when I'd accidentally drugged a speed boost and jumped over a Gold on Sandbox. I still  dreamed of taking a proper gold in a game with true gold hunters though. Now, I'd been half-hoping Blast would drop it for me as a reward for helping, but his next words cast these thoughts to the wind.

"Madness then?" He departs without waiting for my answer. I follow him out, and see him excitedly gathering a crowd of eager gold hunters. I merely hang back and wait for him to post the battle link.

Apart from Blast, I am the first into the battle. As the tanks roll onto the map, I can feel the tension starting to build up. It is spilling over into small scrimmages at parts of the map, and a Hammer is sweeping away some of the smaller players off the narrow walkways and down, down to crumple on the floor far below.

I twitch my fingers nervously over the keys, telling myself I have no chance, but I am feeling slightly excited all the same.

Suddenly, the familiar wail of the siren pierces through the sounds of battle. I decide to follow another BP which races past me as I jerk my Wasp into action. My fingers race over the keys as I activate all three supplies.

Then, the leading Wasp's fragile hull is ripped apart by a Railgun. I swerve sharply to avoid the wreckage, but in doing so I overbalance and tip sideways. Alarmed, I discharge my shot to try and stabilize, but my wasp tumbles over the edge and down. I simply stare despairingly as my tank falls through the air. I am utterly powerless to stop its fall.

Suddenly, I catch sight of IT. The beauty, it is indescribable. Golden light seems to ripple through its pure-white parachute as it makes its slow, graceful decent earthwards.

I stare at it longingly, it seems so teasingly close. I feel as if I could reach out and touch it.

"Bang!" my Wasp hits the floor of the map, crashing through my thoughts. I realize to my horror that I have landed upside-down on the fence surrounding the central box. My wasp is tilting alarmingly, swaying gently on its precarious perch. My only chance is to fire and hope that the recoil sends me rolling so that I end right way up. A gaping hole in the map floor is only a few wasp-lengths away, seemingly waiting to swallow me. I cannot hesitate; time is running out.

My tank rolls off the fence, teeters on the brink of the abyss, but I accelerate and drag myself clear.

Everything seems to slow and fade away except me and the golden beauty that is tantalizingly near. I don't even pay much attention to the 3 Hammers that are locked together under the box, my eyes are pinned on the treasure. One of them, a Hornet, has pulled himself clear of the other two. Surely, surely he must catch it, but he goes down as a shot from a Thunder shatters his hopes. I press my tiny Wasp into the space he vacated, feeling a blast from a Hammer crash into my side. I knew now, there was nothing else I could do but simply hope.

A second later, I open my eyes. My Wasp is a smoking piece of wreckage, finished off by an enraged Hammer no doubt. But there are golden words that contain my name emblazoned on the screen as I float back through the air.

My dream had become reality.

Hi

Janus143 here.

Dramatic Gold in Aleksandrovsk DM

I played Aleksandrovsk DM in Tanker's day season (maybe the end of the tanker's day) and screwed some enemies.I have used Wasp m1 and twins m0. Suddenly, I heard the siren blare and orange words appeared on the top "Gold box will be dropped soon." Suddenly I find myself near the gold box drop zone and two enemies after  the gold. I killed those two enemies but I had been destroyed whilst fighting. Now, for the most dramatic part, both me and my enemy was destroyed even before the gold was taken, but luckily, I have spawned near the drop zone. In that point my heart was already pounding while taking the gold box then I took the gold box! Suddenly, I have read the text "Janus143 has taken the gold box" I have been nervous then but relived. I have became the last man standing for the gold box!

My Dramatic Gold Box

      115px-Hull_vicing_m1.png   150px-Gold.png

It was the 2015 Tanki birthday celebrations. I was logged on to my other account, comododragon360. I had been saving up for Viking M1, which I hoped to get on sale at 50% off. I went to my garage and checked the price of Viking M1. It was 9,350 crystals, while I only had 7,013. I realized that I didn’t have enough crystals. The sale would be over tomorrow. I panicked, and knew I had to think of something fast. Okay, I told myself. Calm down. There has to be a way. I worked out that I had exactly 1,337 crystals until I could afford it. How can you get 1,337 crystals in a short amount of time? I couldn’t spend two hours playing Polygon CP’s. Back then I could only play Tanki for an hour every day. Pretty lame, I know, but my parents were pretty strict about it. Anyway, I checked the time and there was 50 minutes left. I thought about what I could do in 50 minutes. Then it came to me. Missions. I checked my missions, and luckily I had some good ones that offered crystals as the reward. I spent about 40 minutes completing them. I got 212 crystals for collecting five speed boost boxes, and 425 more for earning 300 experience on the Rio map. I anxiously glanced at the top of my screen. I was still 700 crystals short of my goal. I was in despair. I only had 10 minutes of computer time left and I couldn’t possibly buy Viking M1 without buying crystals. I gave up. Knowing that all hope was lost, I decided to spend my last 10 minutes having fun playing Tanki. I looked in the battle list for a good battle to join. One caught my eye. It was an Aleksandrovsk CTF, one of my personal favourites. The battle appeared to be in full swing, with 12 players on the Red Team and 11 on the Blue Team. I quickly joined the battle and spawned right next to the blue base. It was then that I noticed that there were lots of tanks just gathered on the bridge. What were they doing? That was what I asked myself as I ploughed through the horde with my Titan M1. I still had no idea what was going on, so I decided to get closer and investigate. It was a struggle, but eventually I reached the middle of the bridge. Then I noticed a shadow. The shadow of a box attached to a white parachute.

Then I realized how stupid I was.

I realized why all the tanks were all in one spot!

I realized what was going on!

It was a Gold Box!

This was the answer to my financial worries!

My ticket to a Viking M1!

Suddenly exited, I rammed into the wall of tanks. I got closer and closer to the gold box. Inch by inch, I got closer to my prize. But other tanks were closing in as well. I pressed 4 and activated a speed boost. I continued to get closer, and closer. The gold box was also getting closer, and closer. My nerves were going haywire as I struggled to contain my excitement. It all came down to this moment. The box was now inches from the ground, and it sailed down. It fell into the dense concentration of tanks, and faded away into nothing. Who took it? I nervously glanced up at the top of the screen and read the orange words out loud. “comododragon360 has taken the gold box” Yes!!! I sighed with relief. I had taken the gold box.

I was amazed. But I didn’t have time to celebrate. “Your computer time is almost up!” My dad said. “Only two minutes left.” “Okay!” I replied. I knew I had to hurry. Time was almost up. I went over to my garage and clicked “buy.” “Do you confirm this purchase?” It asked me. “Yes!” I replied out loud. I was elated. And that’s how I took a gold box by pure luck, and not a moment too soon.
