Hi! im suggesting to add html to forums. i already deleted that topic because mod said its already here but... Gues what?

I took some random old html file and posted it in this spoiler. It doesnt look like html! Just a plain text. :/

This option is not going to be added for a simple reason: allowing players to embed HTML is very risky because people can easily embed HTML that opens XSS security holes or would allow them to get access to options otherwise inaccessible to them (ModCP, ability to see hidden content).

This option is not going to be added for a simple reason: allowing players to embed HTML is very risky because people can easily embed HTML that opens XSS security holes or would allow them to get access to options otherwise inaccessible to them (ModCP, ability to see hidden content).

In previous topic i typed LIMITED HTML meaning NO-LINKS.

Sorry for caps but i had to do that.

Um wth is HTML?

It is a language which allows you to create (program) your own webpage.

If u say like <font face="times new roman"> Tanki</font>, this word will be formatted in that font.

If you press F12 , you'll see HTML code.

Html is just for webpage design dude.

 

 

Lordmosa well if devs are smart enought, they can block certain parts from the html. For example block all links shouldnt be hard. 

3 times bad stuff posted with html, ban for month.

You can already post ANY kind of pictures here.

Well HTML would allow you to type above picture making it much more amazing.

I personally don't really see the point of this.

The forum's text editor uses a pretty standard forum text editor (BBCode), with simple syntax (enough that you can read and write the raw code without many issues) and functionality that's more than adequate for forum use- I very rarely use the special BBCode functions besides Member, and I've never run into any situation where the tools are inadequate. The ability to add HTML into the forum doesn't add anything that you would really need, and it would be bothersome for the developers to put in so many security measures.
