Haha, that is so true.

I actually devised a method of letting farts out without making much noise (most of the time); basically first slowly and gently easing the valve open and once the gas begins to find a way out making sure it exits as smoothly as possible. I do this by precisely modulating the valve's opening size according to the flow of gas.
