Hey Tankers! 

Today, I'll be interviewing a "pro" Wiki editor and a Falcons leader known as . He's been a wiki editor for almost a year now, and had an impressive career in Tanki Online. So, without further ado, let's know him better!

Darren4Turbo: Hello, Shadow; welcome to this interview!

 

SHAD0W: Hola Amigo! Thanks for having me :)

 

 

Darren4Turbo: Can you tell me a little about yourself?

 

SHAD0W: My name is Luke. I am a 16 year old student from New Zealand. I love football and have been selected to play for my schools 1st team as well as a few rep teams. I enjoy pretty much anything to do with computers (coding, video editing, photography) which is why I decided to become a Wiki Editor 10 months ago. I am also the commentator for the famed parkour club, The Flying Parkourists. I also somehow find time to run a very successful clan, Falcons.

 

 

Darren4Turbo: Woah, pro! When did you discover Tanki Online?

 

SHAD0W: Well, it was quite popular at school at the time. I saw a friend playing it and I called him a noob, in a joking way of course, so he challenged me to a battle. I jumped on Tanki, typed in Shad0w365 and I was on my way. After getting used to the controls, he invited me to a battle. Iran DM 15 minutes. I managed to finish on the top of the table. He didn't get as high as me so I got the idea that I was pretty good at this game.

 

 

Darren4Turbo: Cool! Did you play 1v1 against him and he got rekt? :P

 

SHAD0W: Nah. I have never played him in a 1v1. I'm pretty sure I would win now though :P

 

 

Darren4Turbo: Why did you want to become a wiki editor?

 

SHAD0W: My friend, @StickyPie, saw that the applications for becoming a Wiki Editor were open. I had been trying to become a helper for a while and thought I should probably give this a shot. It would be a good chance to practice coding, improve my knowledge of game and make me rich and famous. And help Tanki improve outdated Wiki that it was. 

 

 

Darren4Turbo: Aha, and what's your favorite combo in Tanki and in TankiX?

 

SHAD0W: Favorite Combo... hmm, It would have to be Firebird and Hornet. I have been using that ever since around Major and I just love using it.

 

I haven't really used many combos in Tanki X. I liked Isida and Wasp a lot, until they nerfed it :P

 

 

Darren4Turbo: How's it working as a wiki editor? what are your duties?

 

SHAD0W: At the moment we are finishing off all the map guides. It's a long and hard process but we are getting there eventually.  

Some of our plans include having more information on the maps page and making the wiki more user friendly.

 

 

Darren4Turbo: Ah, cool, and what do you mean by "more user friendly"?

 

SHAD0W: Easier to understand and navigate

 

 

Darren4Turbo: What are your hobbies?

 

SHAD0W: Other than Tanki, I love playing football (soccer for you Americans *facepalm*) and listening to music, electronic mainly. I also enjoy website and program coding, which is why I like being a Wiki Editor so much :)

 

 

Darren4Turbo: Cool, I see you're a Falcons leader. What made you join that clan and how did you become a leader?

 

SHAD0W: I have been with Falcons ever since it started, which is just over a year ago. I was in a clan before that with a lot of the members and when the leader left Tanki, we decided to go and form Noble Stars. It was a very successful clan with Kyle, Cable and Thee leading and me giving them a hand. Our members began to become a bit inactive so Kyle and I decided to rebrand it to Falcons and take the reigns. It has been a while since that happened and we have grown in numbers and become a strong clan in the Tier 2, with an undefeated record of 9-0. We have our own website, which I created with some help from a few members, a clan photographer as well as a really positive, encouraging atmosphere.

 

 

Darren4Turbo: What made you become a commentator for TFP?

 

SHAD0W: It all started when I got my Tanki X invite code. As soon as I got it I wanted to test out the spectator mode. I searched the Tanki X forum and help site for a guide on how to use it but couldn't, so I decided to make my own and share it with the community. I found out all the controls through testing and asking people with Spec mode in TO how to use it and made a list on the TX forum and a basic video guide with my commentary. saw it and for some odd reason, liked my voice and asked me to be a commentator for TFP. I gladly accepted his offer and have since done the commentary for 2 of their guides, Osa and Serpuhov.

 

 

Darren4Turbo: I heard you live in New Zealand, can you tell us a little bit about it and what it is like living there?

 

SHAD0W: It's a great little country down in the bottom corner of the earth. Split up into 2 main Islands, we are very small for our size. We have a similar land size to Japan or Great Britain yet hardly reach 10% of their population. We may be small, but we certainly do punch above our weight in basically everything we do, from sports to farming. We have the best rugby team in the world, one of the best cricket teams, a quality netball team as well as a lot of high achievers in the Olympics. We also export a lot of food, mainly dairy and fruit which makes sense when you realize that we have somewhere around 60 million sheep. 

Travel wise, you will never be short of something to do here. We have numerous walks through absolutely breathtaking scenery, plenty of mountains to conquer and a think dense bush to get easily lost in. There are also many adrenaline filled activities to do here such as skydiving, bungee jumping and hang gliding. I must say, I am truly blessed to live in such a safe, peaceful and beautiful country.

Oh yeah, and we are #1 on the list of the countries with the most freedom
