^ Tanki you only go to russia, or some place in Russia, so instead of wasting the time of so many players by telling them to make a video and send it to you, why not just call it "Tanki goes to Russia?"

That literally is the only place you go, so why waste our and your time?

To my knowledge, Tanki doesn't have the resources to send their employees all over the world just to attend meetups. If they wanted to fly to, say, the USA, they'd have to get a visa, wait for that, and then buy a plane ticket to America (more expensive than staying within Europe). All of those cost valuable money and time. Traveling to somewhere more local (relatively speaking) is easier to arrange and is less of a hassle.

It's also worth noting that Russia is pretty darn big. Yerevan and Tbilisi are pretty close to Russia, sure, but Tanki is based in Perm, which is 6 hour flight or about 1.5 days of driving for Maxim and the other employees. Cedric lives in Europe, but for him it would also take a 6 hour flight to reach Armenia or over 2 days of driving. Attending the meetup isn't a vacation for them- they still have things to do back in Perm/Malta, respectively, so you can imagine that they wouldn't be able to spend too much time out of the office.

Lastly, Tanki has gone outside of Russia's immediate area for meetups too. The German community hosts more or less annual meetups that Tanki staff attend, and interestingly enough a flight from Russia to Germany is also about 6 hours.

First of all, as CooperO said, neither Georgia nor Armenia are part of Russia - they are completely separate, independent countries. And this contest wasn't rigged in any way - the two countries that won simply had the best "Welcome Tanki" video submissions, so they won over all other cities and countries. And it's hardly surprising too, considering the amount of Tanki players in those countries.

If all you did was sit at home and hope that some players from your country will make a good video, then you shouldn't be complaining :D

I'm sure that wasn't the case, but either way the right place for complaints is the Complaint Book.
