Just get Standalone and better connection to your modem/router and get rid of all the garbage files running the %temp%. Or get a new PC in case yours is bad.

it seems that every time there is Scheduled Maintenance that it also includes a small little update that is actually pretty cool

No. it won't and never will until they have funds to properly upgrade servers, to hold new updates. What it is happening is every update, adds more to load from the server, and when you have alot of load on a server that is older or isn't made to handle that much weight (this is what we will call it) it will tend to cause issues. 

 

No. It's just scheduled maintenance. All companies do it.

No. They don't. Not ALL  websites go down, sometimes they leave them unattended for 2-3 years. 

 

This is a game, therefore to make sure they reset everything and so forth- it does stablize the servers in a sense but as above mentioned does not fix lags etc. 

 

Come on! Be positive, they are already working on it. And you'll notice the results soon enough.

 

Yes you will see Some results, this willl help insure no one has a server crash or data loss.

 

Not all companies do it, but game servers are very heavy loaded- and at one time also. it isnt a easy breeze of traffic here and then boom they leave.
