Alterations, Kits and Supplies Kits!

Alterations are an update meant to allow players to customize turrets to fit their playing style better. However, the price of alterations is very high, and renting costs real money.

Players should be able to rent alterations for a couple hours for free, but only once. This gives all players a small amount of time to see if they like the alteration. If they think that a couple hours isn't enough, then they can pay real money if they do not want to buy it.

The purpose of this idea is to allow players to discover their playing style and get used to the options and variety of the alterations update.

Its not the first update we hate. But they don't care, they will probably won't do anything.

Btw, there are so much devs and staff members... so much people to pay. That's why there are more and more update like this one, or the Gold supplie, the 4 new paints. They are desperate for money.

But, with that huge amount of people in the staff, we should have a game running smoothly. We have the lowest number of players online now, around 50k at the top of the day. And still, lot of lags. Client? Released way too soon. DM tournaments? Released way too soon, and now out of the game for over a month. Anti-cheat system? Not even working properly.

And they are not ashamed to beg us for money after that.

I don't want to curse out here but what in the world are you guys going on about? Do you wanna lose more of your players or something? Please do not make normal Garage things exclusive to only Shop,if you're gonna do this then their is a high chance of you adding more Garage things exclusively to shop whilst forgetting about the majority of the community (Non-buyers).Keep adding new stuff in shop but don't remove things from Garage and add them to Shop instead just for $$$. This is honestly quite a cheap trick.Your game was once known for being a f2p friendly game.Don't taint your own reputation please!!

i totally agree. I have never bought a supply kit but just as was going to get the 500, its only in the shop. This game is meant to be f2p not p2p.

I really love the alterations idea and really couldn't care less about the supply kits thing. I get enough of those from missions and mission chains. I can totally see why people are pissed off about it though. I also really think that for the alterations, rent should be given options like 1 USD or (around)5,000 crystals and then make the rent with crystals available for 1 day every 1 or 2 months or so. Also maybe alterations could be include into kits though i think that would make the kits too expensive (firewall alone cost me 136 k WITH tankmen's day discounts). and also for people who do use money, maybe u should add an alteration of their choice along with whatever they buy for an amount of time.

meh, not only is this off-topic but you've been here long enough to know that without the lazer shaft was waaaay too OP

OP lol no way, no more than railgun. which is why they brought in the laser in the first place; to stop all the whinging from railgunners. anyway not off topic i thought maybe they would get rid of it at the expense of say reduced arcade mode or something

Cedric i know your reading these comments tell the devs to do something. Pretty much every one hates the supplies update. You would probably gain the respect of players my listening to them this time.

I am relaying all the feedback to the developers; I always do. However, the decision on what stay and what goes is not in my hands.

No, I don't think alterations should be free. You're paying to customize the weapon to your preferences.

Well, if that's the case, a good idea could be to make alterations completely customizable. What if, we go to the garage and click an "Alter" button, and we (with the help of a slider or whatever) could slide on property up, leading to the other properties decreasing. And if we need a little more flexibility, you can always introduce Alteration "modules" containing two or three properties each; we could buy one and tinker around with it.

For example, if there is a "X3GG" module (ignore the name) for Thunder containing Maximum Damage, Minimum Damage and Splash Damage, if this idea were implemented, we could either increase maximum damage for the minimum and splash going down OR increase minimum damage with maximum and splash going down, OR increase splash damage with maximum and minimum going down.

This could add a little bit of flexibility to the update and at the best case scenario, make alterations worth buying as a tanker gets to decide how he wants to modify his properties to suit him instead of a static set of fields :)

I know I'm not a developer and have no right to speculate stuff without realizing how tough it actually is to put it right in practicality, but it's just a theory I felt would be nice for TO. :P

If you are interested it works like this:

Game designer is that one guy who already got every slider in the game. Literally EVERY slider. Sounds fun! But in reality if his task to make a valuable weapon-build 99.9% of slider settings results in garbage. Game designer need to understand how each slider affect every other slider to make anything work. It takes a lot of time and nobody ever know if result is correct. Doing this being fun only for certain people who found of working in spreadsheets (spoiler: not avarage TO player)

If game designer wants players to have sliders he need to check literally every single setting with every slider he going to give. This task is enormous and giving that most of the players just do not want to bother at all, this task is a huge waste of time. And if they do decide to bother, 99.9% of their builds will be garbage. This is not fun. Rewards should be rewarding. Garbage doesn't sounds like rewarding stuff :D

This is why predetermined alterations works best. Game designer at least can be sure certain settings will be valuable.

Oh, fair enough, then. Thanks for the insight!

I was thinking of something like what you see in Doraemon. He pulls out a meter type thing for Nobita in which it had 3 parameters. Smartness looks and physical abilitis. Pull one of them up... the other two get nerfed dramatically.

Mind the example :p

I'll pass the idea on to the devs, although I suspect they've already read this post.

Finally supplies' kits won't be available to everyone so easily. You want to spam supplies all day long? You want to overtake battles using 100% supplies? Pay for them, and let other users play without them.

This is how I see this update and I really like it. Players complained for ages that many users "abused" the usage of supplies, but now that supplies will be made harder to obtain, they still complain?

Paying for supplies means less supplies-users since not all of us are willing to spend, so only some players will buy to use supplies, the rest will be able to play without them more often now.

Yeah its just an EXCUSE

Every 1 know Tanki Has became greedy as hell

Tanki wants Only $ now NOTHING else

How do these alterations to the turret work? I've checked my garage and only 3 turrets have alterations to them. i haven't seen the last few vlogs so im a little behind in update news. If someone would please explain to me about these alterations and why only 3 turrets have choices it would greatly be appreciated. all answers welcome. Thank you.
