Halloween mission disappeared.

My complain was about not getting 3 daily missions. It was stated by cedric that it was a glitch that we actually got halloween mission while the stated time for event was already ended. And devs taking no time to fix it and we got daily missions again.

 

For those who didnt claim the special mission within the time period of the event are themselves responsible. and please do not rage about it cause soon there is going to be X-Mas. and whole lot of events sale surprises are waiting for us. so lets appreciate tanki staff for doing good work and encouraging them to do more :)

Well, it's one thing to say you can't continue the mission after a given time, something else altogether for tanki to dump your completed (or partly completed) mission and all the crystals you've earned.   THEN they go ahead and keep the map, even though you cannot continue -- or even claim a completed mission. 

 

I keep seeing the mods trotting out the notification that the mission and map would no longer be available after 2:00 UTC -- that doesn't excuse actually deleting completed missions after that time.  THAT is not in the notification, and it is NOT the usual way that missions work.  we can always claim done missions later -- there was even a video explaining that.

Also had halloween mission dissappear, even though map is still there.  I appreciated all the cool tanki halloween themes, the map and (so I thought) the special mission for crystals.  But then I had the rug pulled out, only to find that the mission I completed was gone.

 

It's no treat, so was it a trick?

Yes what happened was wrong and it was a glitch stated by the staff. And people who didnt claim at the given time. I would like to say:-

1- i wouldnt risk not claiming it within the given time of an event.

2- yeah you can claim the missions whenever you want to once it is completed and it is going to be there untill you change or claim. But these were special missions not normal ones. It is simply understandable that these were the mission only for this event. And it will removed after certain time for everyone. Idk if they can let that mission stay for the ones who are waiting for the right time to claim while removing it for others. I dont think it is possible. So the mission was removed for everyone. hence who couldnt claim it then that mission is simply gone.

GUYS, the whole celebs were gonna vanish today in the server restarts except the decorations, but they didn't! Be grateful about the fact that TO gave you a whole extra day to play on the Halloween map, and like two or three extra hours to complete the mission too i believe! The mission was gonna vanish anyways today three hours before they vanished today! So why cry when you got a day extra of the map and three hours extra of the mission?

Well some people changed their missions for crystals in the hopes of getting a Halloween mission, because they saw the map as still there, so it was kind of unfair.

 

But yeah, people shouldn't complain that much. I loved the Halloween map and I played on it regardless of missions.

even i wasted few crystals. but earned 20k a day ago. thats what other need to understand. I agree with you though :)

First, I really appreciate Tanki for the special map and missions. Makes things fun and different. Please don't stop doing it because of an error and people got disappointed. It's the worst when you try to do something nice for someone, then they get mad. 

 

Second, I'm really sad and a little mad. I live in the U.S. and my missions reset at 8:00pm here. Last night I got the Halloween special mission for 5000 crystals. I worked on it until I got 2000/3000 exp points and was going to finish it up in the morning. My understanding was that missions don't reset until the server restart which means I would have 24 hours to finish it. I've never seen it before that a mission has changed at a separate time than the server restart. Why would I expect that now? So this morning I log in to finish and it is gone and has been replaced.

 

I feel like I got a couple weeks of crystals pulled out from under me. I would recommend that Tanki do something to make up for it as it seems like many people feel like this. 

 

Is this forum the only place to try to let Tanki know how I feel?

If I had not received the Halloween Map mission I would not have tried to get the 3,000xp only for it to have disappeared.

I would like to request that 3,000xp be removed from my account and that I step back to the rank of Commander or even reset my account to the rank of Commander.

It seemed like those missions would stop being given out at 2:00 UTC, not that it would disappear from your missions all together. It is clear that many people though they had 24 hours after receive the mission to complete it.

 

If these were "special missions" then there should have been some warning in the mission window about how much time was left to complete the mission. As it was, it looked like you had the standard 24 hours to complete/claim the mission reward. 

 

It's too bad that this was even an issue.

Today I logged on to my account and I did not get the Halloween mission so I decided to change missions till I get it. However I spent over 15,000 crystals until I finally found it. Sadly, after a couple of hours the mission disappeared! WT?!

I finished the Halloween mission on Sunday 30, but I didn't claimed it. Now the mission was deleted and I lost the reward...

 

It was clear that you must finish the mission on weekend, but nowhere was stated that you must also claim it before that date.

No, It was not a misunderstanding. The announcement says, verbatim:

 

For 48 hours, from 02:00 UTC on Saturday 29th October, till 02:00 UTC on Monday 31st October, we’ll have a special Halloween themed map. This map will be linked to a number of special, extra-challenging daily missions that will reward you with bigger and better prizes.

 

It is clear that you must complete the mission before Monday, but it does not say anywhere that the completed mission must be *claimed* before that date.

Guys, the developers are actually aware of this problem. They told us in the V-LOG that they are bringing Halloween back for another 24 hours on Saturday, 5th November, 2016. The missions, themed decorations, maps, ratios everything will be back.

this seems like a common problem... hope that mission is returned to all the tankers with the same amt. of exp and hard-work they did before it was disappeared :)
