Keyboard issues when I start playing TO

Hi everyone!

Always, when I start playing Tanki Online, my keyboard stop working well, and some keys turn off, like "A" "B" "K" "C" "S" "-" "." and the down arrow.... and it impedes me and bothers my performance, as you can read I have not neither "S" nor down arrow, so, How can I go back? How could I go in reverse? so it really makes me have a bad performance...

So, Am I the unique with this problem? and why does it pass? :huh:

What do you mean turn off? Do they not work when you use them in combination with other keys? If so, you might be suffering from Keyboard Ghosting.

Does it happen with a Specific key combo? Like Up+left+C+Space or something. Or does it not work if pressed alone either?

 

If the keys don't work when using other keys along with it, making a combo, then your keyboard is ghosting and you can not do anything about it, but buy a new keyboard. 

 

Go ahead and check this article, it has a very nice guide to prevent keyboard ghosting without spending money. It will also help you check that if your keyboard is actually ghosting or something else.

The don't work alone, I press them several times and nothing happen. I know about the Keyboard Gosthing, and it's not my problem. -_-

I play tanki online is a laptop, it means the keyboard is incorporated as you know, and if I connect another keyboard usually it reactes later...

What am I trying to say? Let's say, I press the "A" key... then it works with 1 or 2 delay seconds (usually 1 or thousandths of it) and  believe me, it makes harder to play. -_-

And if someday (I think "never") the another keyboard works well, it's okay, but I'd like to know the causes of my problem. -_-

I apologise about that. I'm trying to find a solution but your problem really is unique. The usual problems with keyboard are either ghosting or qwertz. Since the game works when you attach an external keyboard, the problem must be a hardware issue with your laptop's keyboard.

first have your key board check with a lab tech , to make sure its not a broken wire or something else

 

for time delay that could be your server provider ...due a weak signal  to your  location .. check to see what your server link what speed its f its running / check your  ping .. it could be anything.. first start off checking the little things ..

Hi after a long time.

When both of you replied me, I never saw the notification about your replies.

Recently I reviewed my notifications, and then I saw that I was following the topic about the new "Save the Gold" event.

That is, my notifications were flooded due to the Save the Gold's replies. -_-

 

Currently the keys already mentioned stopped working around 3 weeks ago and I don't know what to do. -_-

Once I heard about the customizable controls, I added other keys to start controlling better my tank, and it worked and even it solved my keyboard ghosting. :lol:

But what's about my keyboard? How will I be able to chat with other players from now on? Do you think it's easy to start using the forum with the desktop-keyboard? I don't like to be moving the mouse and clicking each key I need. :(

If certain keys do not work at all, under any circumstances, it's most likely a hardware problem. You could consider bringing your laptop to a computer repair shop to ask if they can fix the keyboard. If not, then the only thing you can do is use a separate keyboard to type.

Did you by any chance spill some liquid or food on your keyboard?

Plug in the main port nto from usb hub

 

If it doesn't work It means your keyboard has some problem

You can always change the keys to something else at least in the client anyways - by going to your settings. 

 

Idk why you can't type you didn't provide a screenshot or anything much rather just that you can't hit certain keys?

 

Can you type these keys outside of the game? 

 

Is Flash up to date? And if you use Chrome is it? 

 

Also Go to Settings > Control Panel > Hardware and drivers Make sure your keyboards Software critical to making it work properly is up to date.

No, I haven't spilled neither liquid nor food.

I use the Client, in its lastest version.

I have already changed the keys, and the problem is solved.

But the keys stopped working at all, even outside of the game.

Let's explain other details...

 

Before those keys stopped working completely. The problem was:

My keyboard was fine, I started playing, the keys started failing, and then they stopped working... I stopped playing, and I started pressing those keys several times (either each second or after waiting for a short moment) and after a long time pressing them... They "revived" and started working a bit and after keep pressing them for more time, they were fine again.

BTW, sometimes the problem didn't fix until one of two days of pressing them.

 

One day, the same problem happened, but I wanted to keep playing, so, I took the keyboard of my sister's PC and I followed playing, the next day the problem remained, and I did the same (took another keyboard) and after almost one week, I tried to "revive" the keys but it never worked, and I think they won't anymore. :(

It sounds like it's a hardware problem with your laptop, which is something we cannot help you with.

Like I said earlier, it's better to take your laptop to a computer repair shop to see if they can fix it.

Ok, I never thought it could be a hardware problem, because there are no too many reasons for that. But finally, I understand that maybe here I won't be able to find the solution I'm looking for.

My last option is take my laptop to a repair shop. I hope I could get a solution.
